Hollywood actress Sharon Stone has revealed she nearly 'killed herself' while making the 1995 movie 'Casino', as she starved herself of food for a week for a scene.
The 51-year-old actress was desperate to impress director Martin Scorsese by looking 'skinny and out of it' for the film and kept herself away from food, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
'I nearly actually physically killed myself making the film. We did the death scene on the last day because Scorsese knew I wanted to get just so completely skinny and out of it,' she said.
'In the final week I didn't eat, I didn't do anything, I just made myself a complete wreck so that I could get skinny and down to nothing. I lost so much weight,' she added.
Stone was nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for the film and also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Motion Picture Drama for the same.
