Amy Adams says finding love helped her become a woman

Image
American actress Amy Adams has revealed that now that she has found the love of her life, she will be able to concentrate on becoming a woman. Adams, 34, who is engaged to actor Darren LeGallo, had spent years searching for her ideal man, and when he came along, she was happy that he accepted her for who she was, reports the China Daily. "I spent most of my 20s looking to find a man - what a waste of energy! Now I actually have a man and I'm able to focus on becoming a woman," she said. "He accepted me from day one as I was, which allowed me to discover who I was meant to be. I'm very appreciative of that," she stated. The 'Doubt' star had gotten engaged on the set of new movie 'Julie and Julia', and she even believes the act of betrothal improved her acting. "I got engaged on this film - the day before I finished shooting. Maybe this is a very, I don't know, young girl statement, but when you're not seeking to gain the approval

"They were groping each other and making out in the middle of the bar. They couldn't have cared less if there were other people in the room," Contactmusic quoted a reveller as telling Life and Style magazine. "Justin held her hand or had his arm around her constantly. They make an adorable couple, and they seem totally in love!" the reveller added

Rupert Grint eagerly awaits 'Harry Potter' franchise's end

Image
Brit actor Rupert Grint has revealed that he is desperate for the Harry Potter film franchise to come to an end, so that he can have his own life back. Grint, 20, has been acting in the eight movie series since he was 13 years old, and as the sixth movie is released around the world, he is ready to move on. "Being in Harry Potter is like living in a bubble, and it slightly hinders your independence. You have got a lot of people doing stuff for you," Contactmusic quoted him as saying. "So I guess that doesn't help. I've never really had control over my hair. Warner Bros decide how my hair is going to be, and I can't really change it," he added.

Short Kut - The Con is On Movie Reviews

Image
Till quite some time back, remaking a successful film was considered a safe bet. In fact, the most reliable, foolproof way at hitting paydirt. But let's not forget, not all stories have the potential to strike gold. SHORT KUT, a remake of the Malayalam film UDAYANANU THANAM, written by Anees Bazmee and directed by Neeraj Vora, arrives a bit too late. Actually, it should've hit the screens a couple of years ago. That's because it abounds and relies completely on clichés and which, in turn, makes you break into a big yawn. Sad, since the basic story of SHORT KUT had the potential to keep your attention arrested. It even starts off well, but runs out of breath soon after. In fact, the graph of the film only goes down as reel after reel unfolds. Seriously, you want to ask something vital to Anees Bazmee and Neeraj Vora, who have penned, even directed laughathons successfully: What kind of cinema is this? Did Bazmee and Vora lose interest while writing this one? Or did they d

Morning Walk Movie Reviews

Image
From the looks of it, you'd feel that MORNING WALK is about senior citizens/septuagenarians, but director Arup Dutta crams the film with so many sub-plots that the film loses focus. It's like starting at Churchgate, but instead of heading towards Virar, you end up at Thane. Okay, let me explain. Had the director stayed loyal to one story [the senior citizens' concern for each other], it would've been an emotional experience. But the story changes gears pretty often. In the beginning, you feel that it's a bahu [Divya Dutta] versus father-in-law [Anupam Kher] saga. Later, the young couple [Shayan Munshi, Nargis] start singing songs and the focus shifts to the love story. Towards the end, it's back to the senior citizens and the twist in their lives. The plight of the senior citizens was beautifully depicted in BAGHBAN, but that was about a married couple. Here' they aren't. And the director could've explored this facet to the fullest. Sadly, he does

Sankat City Movie Reviews

Image
Sometimes, big things come in small sizes... SANKAT CITY may not boast of stars to lure the audiences, it may not have a colossal canvas [on the contrary, the making is very basic], it may not have a terrific musical score to act as a hook [there are hardly any songs here], but SANKAT CITY succeeds, and succeeds largely, in its endeavour: Make the viewer laugh at the right places. One walks in with zilch expectations [the promos don't do justice to the product], but when you make an exit from the audi, it's with the feeling that the 2 hours were well spent. Comedies, today, can be segregated into two categories -- Brain-dead entertainers and intelligent comedies. Films like JAANE BHI DO YAARO, BHEJA FRY and SANKAT CITY fall in the latter category. Let's be honest. Not all of us can think whacky or come up with a crazy madcap comedy like SANKAT CITY. It requires a wild and imaginative mind to come up with one and most importantly, execute it with panache. Debutante direct
