One cardiac arrest put paid to all his acting plans. Actor Nirmal Pandey was pulled into the dark throes of death, after he succumbed to a heart attack at Mumbai on the noon of Feb 18.
The talented actor breathed his last at Mumbai's Holy Spirit Hospital. Sudhir Mishra who directed Pandey in 'Iss Raat Ki Subah Nahin' told the media, "I am completely taken aback."
Scriptwriter Atul Tiwari, scriptwriter ('Mission Kashmir') and Pandey's senior at NSD, too rushed to the venue and confessed to "being in a state of shock."
Pandey, an acolyte of the National School Of Drama (NSD), soared to fame with his first rate histrionics in 'Bandit Queen.' 'Godmother,' wherein he shared screen space with Shabana Azmi too had earned him a fair share of fame. Last week his Telugu flick 'Kedi', starring Nagarjuna, was released to a heartening response from cinegoers.
Actors, filmmakers and professionals from the fraternity are expected to pay their last visits to the dear departed actor.
