After ‘Apne’, we can see the 3 machos of our B-town, all together in one film again.
Titled ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’, the film will feature Dharmendra with his sons Sunny and Bobby.
Yes, the title is, of course, said to be inspired from Dharmendra’s popular song “Main Jat Yamla Pagla Deewana” of the classic hit, ‘Pratiggya’.
While 'Apne' was an emotional drama, director Samir Karnik claims that ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ will be an out-and-out comedy. Interestingly Dharmendra and Bobby Deol will play conmen in this one.
The film’s shooting is expected to start shortly and Karnik is planning to release it on Dec 24 – Aamir Khan’s slot. “This year he won't have any release in the last week of December. So we've decided to release our film in that slot,” stated the director.
‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ reported to be the story of a virtuous man (Sunny) who is well settled in Canada, married to a Canadian. After two decades he finds out that he has a father and brother in Varanasi. The film is based on his journey into his past and into a culture that he had left behind.
The film’s crew will move on to shoot in Varanasi from April.
Small-screen actress Kulraj Randhawa will be paired opposite Bobby, while hunt is on for Sunny’s Canadian lady. Let’s see whether these Deols create the same success story like they did for ‘Apne’…
