The Chittagong Uprising of 1930 will be tweaked for celluloid with 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey.' The Ashutosh Gowariker helmed opus is a period thriller based on the book 'Do or Die' by Manini Chatterjee.
Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Sikander Kher will showcase their histrionics under the sharp gaze of Gowariker. Art director Nitin Chandrakant Desai will display spatial magic and costume stylist Neeta Lulla will doctor garment designs with finesse.
The perky Padukone, meanwhile, has already gone to town raving over Gowariker. "It's an awesome feeling to be directed by him," she gushes. "And what's great is that I got this opportunity rather early in my career."
Being framed by cinematographer Kiiran Deohans, 'Khelein Hum… will spotlight the genius of Gowariker, who displayed his skills with the historical 'Jodhaa Akbar.'
