Grammy awardee LisBeth Scott Sings for Indian film ‘Lahore’

Nominated for many Grammy Awards and Academy Awards, world renowned Hollywood singer and songwriter, Lisbeth Scott has lent her melodious voice for the very first time for an India film ‘Lahore’. Lisbeth has lent her voice for Hollywood biggies like Avatar, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Pirates of the Caribbean, Shrek, The Chronicles of Narnia, Casino Royale, etc.

The gifted singer will open the film with her ‘alaap’.

The movie produced by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and will release on 19th March, 2010.

Lisbeth was sent the script of Lahore and the sincerity of the film which is about Indo-Pakistan relationship, touched her heart so much that she agreed to lend her voice in the movie.

On being asked about the decision of singing for a Hindi movie, Lisbeth says, “The Composer, Wayne Sharpe, liked my work in several films he had seen, and he contacted me about singing on his score for Lahore. When I heard about the film and its compelling subject matter, I knew I would love to sing on it. It was a wonderful and intense experience working with Wayne on his beautiful score to Lahore”.

Shot in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Lonavala, Malaysia and Lahore in Pakistan, the film ‘Lahore’ will hit the screens in India carrying bouquets and praises from various international film festivals which includes Best Feature Film Jury’s Award at the 42nd World Fest (Houston), Most Aspiring Filmmaker at International Filmmaker Fest (UK), Best Actor Award at Salento International Film Festival (Italy), Best Actor Award at Tenerife International Film Festival Award (UK).
