Jayaprada: History For Amar Ally?

The discontent has been simmering for a while. And presently, Jayaprada, Samajwadi's Member of Parliament requested party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav to intervene and stem the rot against Amar Singh.

Displaying abiding support to Singh, Jayaprada addressed the prickly issue at a news conference stating, "He has lost his kidney while toiling for the party and now, despite his ailing health he's touring all the districts of Uttar Pradesh. If something happens to him, the party will be held responsible."

Declaring Yadav as a "father figure," the Rampur MP reiterated that while she supported him, she would not tolerate what other party members were doing.

Her vociferous defiance, however, has not gone well with party general secretary Ramasrey Kushwaha who lambasted her in a media chat stating, "Like Amar Singh is history in the party, Jayaprada would be it's second page…"
