The cameramen fraternity of Karnataka honored the doyen cinematographer V K Murthy with a memento, shawl and garland on Sunday morning at G M Rejoyz auditorium in Malleswaram, Bangalore.
The Patel and Patel International Company and Fuji Films Mumbai jointly organized this program with another purpose to introduce the new 500 VIVID film. Ujjwal Nirgudkar Technical head of Patel and Patel International demonstrated the new Vivid 500 film. Cinematography film advancement then and now was discussed on the occasion. The new invention of vivid 500 does not need the DI technology for films shot here afterwards expressed the technical head.
The veteran cameraman G S Bhasker anchored the event to honor the Dada of cinematography V K Murthy. V K Murthy after receiving the honor turned emotional and thanked the cameraman brothers of his fraternity.
The 90 percent of cinematographers of Karnataka were present at the felicitation function to V K Murthy. The Cinematographers Association of Karnataka observed one minute silence for the passing of cinematographer Surendranath Begur.
