His heavily kohl rimmed eyes and randy act in 'Ishqiya' have won him a fresh swarm of fans. Move over Circuit. Enter Babban.
"The 'soorma' in the eyes suits the character of Babban perfectly," opines Arshad Warsi in a newspaper chat. "It effectively brings out the naughtiness of the character and also portrays the menacing side of Babban."
His intimate smooching scene with Vidya Balan has shocked prudish viewers and set tongues wagging in the grapevine circuit (hah, pun). "I was very uncomfortable and was petrified doing it," confesses Warsi. "But Vidya is a doll and coz' she's a friend, we sorted it out. I'm glad that we did the scene with full honesty."
Rumours were rife that spouse Maria Goretti was expressly unhappy with the cinematic liplock. "No normal wife is going to like it," admits Warsi. "Maria was very uncomfortable, but not unreasonable." Spouse grouse, Warsi?
