Moulli Ganguly, Sangeeta Ghosh and Sanjeeda Sheikh will soon be seen in STAR Plus’ top-rated show Bidaai, albeit in cameo roles. Like every year, this time the serial will be hosting a Natraj Mahotsav, which will be anchored by Moulli. Sanjeeda and Sangeeta will perform on popular numbers. In the past, Hema Malini and Shweta Tiwari have been part of this special episode. Recently, Komalika Guha and Rahuol Lohani of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi fame also entered the show in important cameos. Sakshi Tanwar in Do Saheliya
She is already co-hosting the crime show Crime Patrol on Sony, but soon Sakshi Tanwar will return to familiar territory - that of a daily soap. She will be seen in Zee’s Do Saheliya. When contacted, Sakshi informed, “It’s only a cameo and I will be there for a couple of episodes.” The show produced by Ratna Sinha is about two girls, Maithili and Bawri, who are from different backgrounds but forge a strong friendship. Maithili played by Sulagna Panigrahi (Dhara of Amber Dhara) belongs to a rich Rajput family while Bawri (Ankita Shrivastav, a former anchor on CNBC who has done some DD shows) is from a lower caste and both the families have been at loggerheads due to a feud. Yet, the two girls become thick friends and stick together despite all the negativity. The show starts airing from March 1 in place of Aap Ki Antara.
Ali Asgar quits Bingo
He was Abhishek Bachchan’s buddy in National Bingo Night but after eight episodes, Ali Asgar has quit the show. Apparently, he wasn’t happy with the way his role turned out in the show. He was told he will be a co-anchor but was reduced to being one among the studio crowd. When contacted, Ali initially cited date problems for opting out of the show. “Some dates were decided in advance and we were to take a call on some later. The dates that were given to me clashed with my show FIR and since I had already asked them to adjust once, I didn’t want to the same producer to do it again,” said Ali. However, when asked about his experience on the show and interacting with Abhishek, Ali let out that he had a good time with Abhishek but the experience of hosting was “okay”. “Sometimes the way the show is presented to you before you take it on and the way it shapes out is different. I have learnt a lesson from this,” he informed. Incidentally, Ali has earlier hosted shows like Mummy Ke Superstar and Shava Shava alone. “I have been told by a panditji that partnerships aren’t good for me, now I know why,” he says tongue-in-cheek. The comic actor will soon be seen Farah Khan’s film Tees Maar Khan in which he plays Akshay’s friend. “My role is full of masti,” he lets on.
