
‘Srimath Sundarakanda’, a devotional album based on the ‘Sundarakanda’ episode from the holy epic ‘Ramayana’ was launched in the holy precincts of Sharada Peetham, Visakhapatnam recently.
‘Srimath Sundarakanda’ was released by His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Swaroopanandendra Saraswathi Maha Swamiji. Other eminent personalities present at the launch were Honourable Union minister Smt. Daggupati Purandareswari and honourable MLA from Visakhapatnam Sri Malla Vijaya Prasad. Also in attendance were Sri Ravi Shankar, Music Director, Smt C.L.Rajakumari, lyricist and Sri C.N.Nageswara Rao, Producer.
The music album is released in to the market by Times Music. The music is provided by Ravi Shankar Sadaram, a veteran music composer with vast experience in the movie field. The music is composed of many ragas ranging from ‘Shankarabharanam’ to ‘Charukesi’, all well set in tune with tone and tenor of the events in Hanuman’s great mission.
The episode of ‘Sundarakanda’ with a duration of 32 minutes is sung by legendary singer Padma Sri Dr. S.P.Balasubrahmanyam. The ‘Dandakam’, ‘Harathi’ and ‘Hanumat Dhyanam’ which are included in the album are rendered by singers Ramu, Kausalya and Sri Krishna respectively.
