Vivitek D795WT throws 95-inch image from under 2-feet away

There are many projectors on the market that are short-throw and need five or six feet of distance to throw a picture of 80-inches or less. Vivitek has announced a new projector called the Vivitek D795WT that puts those other short throw projectors to shame.

The new Vivitek offering is capable of throwing a big 95-inch image from only 1.3-feet from the projection surface. Now THAT is short throw. In addition to its short throw prowess, the projector also has DLP and BrilliantColor tech inside.

The little beastie is also 3D ready and has 3000 lumens of brightness, a 2500:1 contrast ratio, and its lamp is good for 6000 hours. The native resolution is 1280 x 800 and connectivity options include HDMI 1.3, dual VGA, composite, and S-video. The projector will ship in August and the price isn’t set yet. This thing will be an awesome home theater projector for small rooms.
