AP Pollution Control Board – Ban on Plastic Bags in Tirupati Temple

Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board has decided to implement the ban on plastic bags in Tirumala, which include Tirupati Temple. This decision will be in effect within one month .Strict action will be taken against those who violate this order. In Tirupati Temple the Laddu Prasadam , which is distributed in plastic bags , after the ban would be distributed in cloth, paper or jute bag.

Other decisions that will also take place in the wake of controlling pollution are:

* Stop the use of plastic bags below 40-micron thickness all over the state.
* To stop the use of plastic teacups and water glasses in canteens.
