Evergreen Beauties III – Nutan

Coming from a rich cine legacy, it was natural for Nutan to capture hearts effortlessly in 50s and 60s.
With her simple beauty and spirited performance, the classic beauty went on to become the only actress to bag five Filmfare Best Actress Awards. ‘Seema’, ‘Sujata’, ‘Bandini’, ‘Milan’, ‘Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki’ – with these she proved her calibre as an actress.
Years later when she couldn’t play the lead role, Nutan still had it in her to garner attention with her motherly performances like in ‘Meri Jung’, ‘Naam’ and ‘Karma’.
Nutan had always been surrounded by talented personalities; not only were her parents related to cinema, even her sibling Tanuja turned into a noted actress. Moreover Tanuja’s two daughters, Kajol and Tannisha made a niche in this field. Besides, Nutan’s son Mohnish Behl, became a known face on the screens for his villain characters and especially for the good image he created with Rajshri films…
