Manchester City Striker Emmanuel Adebayor has threatened to leave to club if he continues warming the bench at the Eastlands.
The Togolese striker has been deemed surplus in Roberto Mancini's plans in this season so far and has been initially linked with a move to Juventus during the summer.
But the 26-year-old decided to grit his teeth and stay put at the Eastlands in order to force his way into the starting line-up.
However, Adebayor may be handed his chance to prove his worth to Mancini when City take on Juventus in the Europa League on Thursday.
When asked of his feelings of a possible starting place against Juventus, he played his cards cleverly.
He told Il Giornale: "What is it like to be playing against Juventus? The effect is one against a team with which I was linked in the summer by the papers.
"When I said that I was not convinced about ending my career in England I never mentioned Juventus.
"But I would be lying to say that I don't consider them as one of the most fascinating clubs in the world.
"Mancini? We have spoken with serenity and I want to fight for a starting role. But if I don't play then it would be stupid not to look around.
"I have read many things about me but they were incorrect. I have never sent messages to other clubs."
