John Terry revealed that owner Roman Abramovich expects Chelsea to win the Champions League this season.
After spending over £1billion on the London club since 2003, Abramovich has lost patience with his under-achieving side.
The Russian has made it clear that his players will need to win the Champions League, said John Terry, according to quotes from the Sun.
"The owner's message at the start of the season was clear: He wants to win everything", said Terry.
"And with the squad we have here at Chelsea, he expects that to happen.
"We can't prioritise one competition ahead of the other. We can't choose between winning the Premier League and the Champions League.
"The Premier League is the biggest team test because it's the best league in the world with the best players.
"We had a spell of a few years without taking the title and now that we've started winning it again, it's important we maintain that.
"But, at the same time, the Champions League is a massive trophy that still eludes us and we now have a manager who has experience of winning that one."
Terry ran his eye over their Premier League rivals and gave an insight on who he thought might be genuine challengers to Chelsea's crown.
The Blues skipper added: "I've seen quite a bit of Manchester City and they've not looked that great if I'm honest.
"But they really raised their game and the way they played against us means they are definitely title contenders.
"Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool - none of us were really spending this summer. City were the only club doing that in a big way.
"We lost some experienced players in the summer but now we are seeing some excellent young players coming through and, hopefully, they can make a difference."
Josh McEachran made a surprise appearance in their 1-0 defeat to Manchester City, and Terry was impressed by his quality at just 17 years old.
Terry revealed: "Josh is a quiet lad but he has amazing ability.
"He can open defences with one pass and he showed against Newcastle last week he can come on and change a game by demanding the ball.
"When I was first breaking into the team, I would probably hide a bit and try to feel my way in. But guys like Josh come in and want to make an impact straight away."
With Abramovich looking to spend less and less with each passing season, as well as UEFA's new financial rules curbing lavish investment by owners, Chelsea will certainly need more Josh McEachran's in their side if they are to continue to lord it over in the Premier League without splashing the cash.
