Let's All Search for 'Mad Men's' Jessica Pare

Last night, "Mad Men" fans across the country dropped their Lucky Strikes in unison during the fourth season's finale. If you haven't seen the episode yet, avert your gaze, for there be spoilers ahead.

Last chance — spoilers are coming. We mean it, so don't send us hate mail if you continue reading. To all who worship at the altar of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce: You have been warned!

Last night, Don Draper (Jon Hamm) proposed. But, in a twist worthy of "The Bachelor," the "lucky" lady wasn't the one who fans might have expected (Dr. Faye Miller). Instead, the single stallion surprised us all when he popped the question to his secretary Megan (played by the stunningJessica Paré).

Following the episode, Web searches on "jessica pare" surged a whopping 588%, putting the little-known actress among Yahoo's top 1,000 overall terms. Related lookups on "jessica pare photos" posted similarly strong gains — a testament to the actress's striking good looks.

Ms. Paré isn't a household name (yet), but she has been working in film and TV for years. She first gained notice in the indie romance "Lost and Delirious" opposite Piper Perabo and Mischa Barton. Other roles followed, including a small part in "Hot Tub Time Machine." But it's her surprising part on "Mad Men" that has people talking — and searching.

In an interview with New York magazine, Paré expressed that she was as shocked as anyone to learn that her character would be making a (semi) honest man out of Don Draper. She was mostly worried her character would get killed off.

In the interview, she jokes, "I was sure I was going to fall down the elevator shaft at any second. I was like, 'Megan's gonna go somehow!' Everybody was saying that I was doing good work on the show, and I was like, 'Uh-huh, sure, that elevator shaft hasn't moved.'"

And keep in mind, the couple ain't married yet. Paré says of the relationship, "I still don't know where it’s going. They’re not married yet. Anything could happen!" Truer words were never spoken. After all, in this season a beloved character dropped dead and a major account left the agency without warning.

Fans will, of course, have to wait until next season for answers. What are the odds this couple lives happily ever after? Better or worse than Sally growing up without any mother issues?
