Robinson blasts "ridiculous" Wenger

Bolton defender Paul Robinson has blasted Arsene Wenger's "ridiculous" views on tackling.

Wenger was angered by a tackle made by Robinson in Arsenal's clash with Bolton two weekends ago which left his midfielder Abou Diaby injured.
The Frenchman, not for the first time, demanded the Football Association clamp down on what he considered excessive tackles on his players.
"It's typical Arsene isn't it? An Arsenal player gets hurt and all of a sudden it's all made public. I've seen the tackle and I don't think it's bad - it's a good, hard tackle," Robinson said.

"When you're sliding in, sometimes it's impossible to get out of the way. Are we going to ban tackling? It's ridiculous.
"Whatever Wenger says won't affect me because I do it week in, week out so let him have his say.
"I'm committed to winning and I'm never going to change until I hang my boots up."
In the last couple of years, Arsenal have seen two first team players break their legs in matches - something which has prompted Wenger to accuse other teams of trying to disrupt his free-flowing side through violence.
Aaron Ramsey (pictured) was the last Gunner to break his leg in a game against Stoke earlier in the year.
