PAPPU has done it once again, but to everybody's surprise and anger this time not alone. He ran away from his village with the other 4 of his neighboring fellow friends. As a result Chhotulal, Pappu's father has to bear the repercussions from the parents of other kids. In this expedition of Pappu and his friends, the only one who was left behind was Kuhu. The reason was quite clear to everybody as Kuhu was blind by birth.A runaway boy - this was not the first time for an eight-year-old Pappu. He has done it many times earlier; and always he came back or sent back by the police with a warning. Chhotulal was warned by his neighbors and others to keep his boy tied up in the house. They had a fear that Pappu might influence their kids, and today that fear came alive. Pappu ran away with 4 kids of the village.
It was that day when Pappu came to see his friend Kuhu. Kuhu was very happy to find her sole friend home but it was not the same feelings shared by her parents on arrival of Pappu. They knew that soon they would be interrupted and then forced to change the channel. Kuhu's parents had very little choice, as they were aware of Pappu's unconquerable spirit, which will put them in a lethal situation where they will soon be bombarded with the thousands and millions of questions awaiting for their answers with the detail explanation. So they preferred to hand over the television remote and leave both the kids alone. The kids started surfing the channels and every time they did so, Pappu explained everything to Kuhu. As they moved on suddenly Pappu’s hand and eyes got stuck on the TV set and he almost shouted looking at the TV. There were men flying like birds in various colorful balloon shaped objects. Kuhu was excited as she asked about the shapes, sizes and the colors of the various balloons and parachutes on which these men were flying hanging themselves in an open sky. Pappu made his friend imagine all. The program came to an end but their quest had just begun.
Al together 5 kids ran away from their village in an expedition to find about the colorful balloons and parachutes they saw on television, which made it possible for men to fly in an open sky. The sole motive was to get those parachutes so that Pappu can make Kuhu fly and feel the sky.
At the same time there is a high alert in the city, as it was flashed in the News Channels that a militant group from AL-Qaeda has intruded a group of child bombers to target and blow up the important landmarks. Pappu and his friends get caught from the market where they were inquiring about the flying balloons in the confusion.
The kids got trapped and their parents got too worried back at home. The whole situation became a mess, as even the ATS officers didn’t have proper explanation for why these kids were caught. And finally when the confusion gets over and the real terrorists get caught, the kids were released and sent back to their hometown.
The terorists get caught by Pappu's presence of mind and his brave attitude and it becomes a big news for everyone. Finally when the kids reach their village they get felicitated with actual parachute ride.
"SATRANGEE PARACHUTE" is a child’s psychology and sentiments of unfulfilled dreams and the desire to live your own dream. It's a thought for every one of us who dreamt of doing lots of things in our childhood but couldn't do it. Its an adventurous ride to the dreamland.
