SNL hits 7 year high with Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga

There’s always an air of anticipation when Justin Timberlake hosts an episode of Saturday Night Live as he did for the 36th season finale last night. So when you throw Lady Gaga into the mix, things are bound to get exciting.
And exciting they were as NBC’s landmark Saturday night broadcast brought in ratings that were up 21% from last year and the highest in 7 years according to Deadline.
While many of the skits featuring Mr. JT were reiterations of those in his previous hosting gigs such as “Liquorville” and The Barry Gibbs talk show featuring Jimmy Fallon, some skits were brand spanking new and quite amusing.
Most notably, the game show for ‘What’s That Name?’ celebrity edition in which Justin forgets the name of not only the girl he slept with last week but of former ‘NSync member Chris Kirkpatrick while Gaga remembers everyone’s name because you can’t forget someone who loves your music.
As expected the saga of the “D*ck in the Box” fellas continued after becoming “Motherlovers” with another hilariously entertaining digital short of a “3 way (the golden rule)” featuring Lady Gaga in which they declare "the area's grey in a 1-2-3 way."
Bradley Cooper also made a cameo in Weekend Update in support of The Hangover II coming out this Thursday.
You can check out Justin’s amazing monologue, the “What’s That Name” sketch, and “3-way (the golden rule)” digital short below.

Clips of additional sketches are available on NBC.com.  What did YOU think of JT and Lady Gaga on last night’s season finale? Was it everything you wanted it to be? What was your favorite skit? Sound off in the comments below!
