Tonight on Gossip Girl: 4.22 "The Wrong Goodbye"

Tonight is the second part of the Gossip Girl season 4 finale, after last weeks eventful half there are certainly plenty of schemes that need to be tied up and even lives that need saving.
Blair (Leighton Meester) was lured to Chuck's (Ed Westwick) new hotel site in Brooklyn by a vengeful Russell Thorpe (Miacael Boatman), after the truth regarding the fire and the death of Avery Thorpe was finally uncovered. Thorpe believes that Chuck was the one who informed his daughter Raina (Tika Sumpter) of what really transpired so is seeking his revenge. Chuck had nothing to do with this however, it was all Nate (Chace Crawford) who finally seems like he has something to do in the latter half of this season other than looking pretty. Blair has a lot to contend with, not only the perilous rooftop situation but with her romantic situation; will she chose the Prince (Hugo Becker) or Chuck? Or neither? I have a feeling that a heroic action by Chuck might swing it his way, though I think it would make sense for Blair to once again end the season single.
Charlie (Kaylee DeFer) is also in an unstable place, this is due to her not taking her medication that is for an undisclosed mental condition and it would seem the the party at Constance is probably not the best place to be when feeling like this. Her behaviour became more erratic in the last episode, first by denying that she was wearing one of Serena's (Blake Lively) dresses followed by her request to Dan (Penn Badgely) when they were hooking up for him to call her Serena. This was wrong on oh so many levels and was an instant mood killer for Dan.
Who would Serena enlist to help her with the Charlie situation other than the biggest meddler of the show and that would of course be Vanessa (Jessica Szohr), who really has perfected her lurking skills this year. This will be the last time we see Vanessa as a regular character on the show as it was announced that both herself and Taylor Momsen (who plays Jenny Humphrey) would not be returning in season 5. This news wasn't a shock, considering Jenny appeared for a brief run of episodes and Vanessa has been reduced to a convenience character. Are you sad to see Vanessa leave?
It wouldn't be a Gossip Girl season finale without the return of everyone's favourite schemer and bad girl Georgina Sparks (Michelle Tractenberg), who we last saw at the beginning of the year shacked up with Dan and pretending that he was her baby daddy. In true Georgina style it looks like she has manipulated her way in to a relationship but is longing for a good scheme. The Constance party seems as good as place as any to reinvigorate this habit and having Georgina as an ally is much better than being the victim in one of her schemes. The return of Georgina also promises some brilliant one liners, diabolical behaviour and some outlandish fashion.
There are some other guest appearances in this finale, including Gossip Girl author Cecily von Ziegesar and live music from The Airborne Toxic Event who have just released their sophomore album "All at Once", and are the musical guest at the Constance party. They join the ranks of other musical stars such as No Doubt, Sonic Youth and Lady Gaga who have all previously appeared and performed on the show.
Will Chuck get to Blair in time? Will Dan ever learn that dating girls who are kind of his family is a terrible idea? Will it be au revoir to Louis? Let us know in the comments below what you think might happen or what you want to happen in the Gossip Girl season 4 finale.
