Anna Torv and John Noble Discuss Fringe's Big Cliffhanger

Fringe's third season finale left us with quite the cliffhanger. September (Michael Ceveris) and December, two Observers, were commenting to each other on the fact that since Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson) had fulfilled his purpose, "he never existed." While fans are still trying to piece together what exactly that meant, Anna Torv (Olivia Dunham) told Give Me My Remote that she thinks Peter still exists within the storyline of the show.
"I think he's still in existence. I think that we just don't remember him," she shared. "[Peter could be] be walking around, knowing everything, but with nobody knowing. It'd be like being invisible, almost."
"He'll be back in a different form," co-star John Noble, who plays Peter's father Walter, added. "But I don't know any more than that."
Torv clarified that she'd not spoken to the showrunners since the third season wrapped. "I was just about to ask [them about the cliffhanger]," she said.
Torv stated she was "just starting to think about" the ramifications of Peter's disappearance from Olivia's life as well, and was interested to see just how changed Olivia would be without Peter. Torv also pondered if the war the characters were fighting would lose motivation.
"Good point," Noble agreed.
Fringe will return for a fourth season in the fall.
