Mad Men Star Jared Harris Open to Returning to Fringe

Fans of great television probably know of Jared Harris. Not only is he a star of AMC's hit dramaMad Men (he plays accountant Lane Pryce), but he had a recurring stint on the first season of the critically acclaimed FOX series Fringe. There he played David Robert Jones, a terrorist who orchestrated several Pattern incidents before being cut in half by a closing portal between two universes. Earlier this month, I expressed my hope that season three's ending moments could spell a return for Harris to the series. Now, it seems, Harris would be more than willing to take a trip back to Fringe. Now, it seems, he's willing to make the trip himself.
Stating that he doesn't know about returning to Fringe "yet," Harris affirmed to I Am Rogue that he still loves the sci-fi series, which is slated to return for its fourth season in the fall. "I love the show and I am a fan of it," Harris shared. "I've watched every single episode they've made and I'm fascinated by what they are doing with the show."
What's been Harris's favorite (non-Jones related) moment? "Leonard Nimoy possessing Olivia Dunham's body was absolutely genius," he gushed. "It was f**king great!"
And, finally, Harris left us with some beautiful words that I hope the Fringe execs get to hear: "I love that show so yes, I’d be up for doing it again.”
I'm not one to encourage the alteration of a story just to accommodate actors (as I've stated regarding the late season twist in Game of Thrones), but if it can be done organically, I'd love to see Jones return to Fringe in any way, shape or form.
Fringe will return for season four in the fall. Mad Men is slated to begin filming its fifth season in August.
