Iron Man director Jon Favreau has announced his next hotly anticipated film, Cowboys & Aliens, will make its world premiere at San Diego Comic-Con before going into wide release on July 26th. The film features the geek-friendly cast of Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde, and Sam Rockwell, taking on an Old West / Alien Invasion mash-up that features a Science Fiction and Fantasy production stable like no other: Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, Damon Lindelof, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci and executive producer Steven Spielberg. Premiering at Comic-Con is probably one of the smartest PR moves ever made since the film is bound to have a bulk of its core audience concentrated there ready, willing, and able to buzz the flick up.
