After "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" was largely considered to be a lackluster interpretation of the hero's beginnings, everyone was looking forward to Darren Aronofsky's interesting style breathing new life into the character. But when the Oscar nominee dropped out of directing "The Wolverine" not long ago, fanboys everywhere felt a bit like they had received a swift kick to the gut.
(or perhaps a CLAW to the gut is more appropriate?)
But, I believe we can all sleep well at night knowing that Fox is currently in talks to hire James Mangold (Walk the Line, 3:10 to Yuma) upon request of Wolverine himself Hugh Jackman. This is something a little new for Mangold, but there is no doubt that we will get a more honed in study of the character this time around if he were to be the man to end up with the directing job.
Also, and this is just a suggestion... Maybe we can improve the CGI on his claws this time? But all jokes aside, what do you think about this possible selection? Leave a comment below!
