The Television Critics Association held their awards ceremony Saturday night in Los Angeles, honoring the best in television. While I consider these awards to be much more truthful than the Emmys, there were some surprises in the winners that were announced. For instance, British series Sherlock won in the Outstanding Achievement in Movies, Miniseries, and Specials, despite being none of those three. This is similar to what happened to PBS's Downton Abbey (which was also nominated in the category) in the Emmy awards, where it was nominated before it was renewed for a second season. And just look at the number of nominations Justified received! It looks like there is justice in some television awards after all.
