AC Milan interested in Barca duo

AC Milan are interested in signing Barcelona duo Alexander Hleb and Martin Caceres, according to Italian publication Leggo.

The Italian giants are in the hunt for reinforcements as they plan to mount a serious challenge for next season's Serie A and the Champions League.

Hleb was expected to move to Inter Milan as part of a deal which saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic head to Barcelona, but the former Arsenal player rejected the move for a loan spell with Stuttgart, where he helped them reach the Champions League round of 16.

Caceres, who is with the Uruguay squad in the World Cup, spent the season on loan at Juventus, but the Turin club opted against a permanent deal for the 23-year old.

With both players not part of Pep Guardiola's plans at the Nou Camp, they might be tempted by a fresh challenge at Milan, who have strucked a good relationship with the Catalan club following the transfers of Gianluca Zambrotta and Ronaldinho in 2008.
