Daniel Teo looks at the players' performances in the Group B match between Nigeria and South Korea which ended 2-2.
Nigeria
Vincent Enyeama - 5
To be blamed for South Korea's two goals. The Nigeria stopper looked nervous and unsure throughout the game.
Danny Shittu - 7
The Nigerian defender had a rock solid game at the heart of the Nigerian defence and hardly put a foot wrong.
Joseph Yobo (Off 46') - 5.5
The Everton defender won most of the physical battles against the smaller Korean attackers but struggled against their pace and quick feet. Was taken off early in the second half.
Rabiu Afolabi - 6
The left-back struggled to contain the pace down the South Korean right channel and failed to stop crosses from coming in.
Chidi Odiah - 5
The right-back was given a torrid time by Park-Ji Sung and Lee Young-Pyo.
Yussuf Ayila - 6
The midfielder worked hard in midfield but simply could not match the pace of the South Korean midfielders.
Dickson Etuhu - 5.5
The experienced midfielder failed to make a strong impact on the midfield and looked out of ideas for most part of the match.
Kalu Uche - 7
The Nigeria goalscorer showed a combination of determination and power to get to a cross from Ogbuke and give his side a crucial lead. Was the main threat of Nigeria's attack.
Chinedu Ogbuke - 7
Provided the cross for Uche to score Nigeria's first goal. The right midfielder worked hard on the right side of midfield and posed a couple of scares for the Korean defence.
Yakubu Aiyegbeni (Off 70') - 6
What an eventful match for the Everton striker. First he received the honour for the miss of the tournament so far, then scored a penalty to put Nigeria level and was substituted straight after that.
Nwankwo Kanu (Off 57') - 5.5
The Nigeria veteran had a pretty quiet game and failed to create any major danger to the Korean defence. Was taken off early in the second-half
Substitutes:
Martins (In 57') - 7
Looked lively and threatening after coming on. Had a glorious chance to put Nigeria ahead but his chip over the goalkeeper went just wide. Should have started in place of Kanu.
Uwa Echiéjilé (In 46') - 6
Looked lively after coming on. Had a few long-shots that went just wide.
Victor Obinna (In 70') - 6
Came in for Yakubu and should have scored Nigeria's winning goal with a couple of fantastic chances.
South Korea
Jung Sung-Ryong - 6.5
Could have dealt better with the cross that gave Nigeria their first goal. Otherwise, the Korean stopper had a good game in keeping out the Nigerian danger.
Cho Yong-Hyung - 6.5
The Korean centre-back was given a tough physical battle by Yakubu then Martins but did well to minimize their threats.
Lee Jung-Soo - 6
Second goal of the World Cup for the Korean defender. This time he did well to sneak in from the far-post to score South Korea's crucial equalizer.
Lee Young-Pyo - 7
The former Tottenham defender was dangerous on his raids down the left-wing and gave the Nigeria defence a torrid time. Was solid in defence too.
Cha Du-Ri - 6
Was to blame for letting the cross in which gave Nigeria the first goal. Had a reasonably good game except for his error.
Kim Jung-Woo - 6.5
Had a solid game in the centre of the park. Passed the ball well and hardly lost the ball.
Ki Sung-Yueng (Off 87') - 7
The Korean midfielder was a live-wire and gave the Nigerians a tough time with his pace and creativity.
Yeom Ki-Hun (Off 63') - 5
The Korean forward did not have the best of games and was taken off in the 63rdminute.
Park Ji-Sung - 6.5
The South Korea captain has yet to showcase his Manchester United form so far but was his usual hardworking self.
Lee Chung-Yong - 7
The Bolton midfielder ran the Nigerians ragged with his pace and almost scored with a couple of attempts himself.
Park Chu-Young (Off 90') - 7
Gave South Korea the lead with a well-placed free-kick early in the second half. Had a wonderful chance to extend his side's lead to 3-1 from a cross but saw his effort saved by the goalkeeper.
Substitutions:
Kim Nam-Il (In 63') - 5
Gave away a stupid penalty that gave Nigeria their equalizer.
Kim Jae Sung (In 87') - N/A
Dong Jin Kim (In 90') - N/A
