England striker Wayne Rooney is confident he will be fit for Sunday's clash with Germany.
Rooney was substituted in the 72nd minute of the 1-0 Group C win over Slovenia after appearing to hurt his ankle.
England coach Fabio Capello played down concerns over Rooney's injury after the Slovenia win, but the striker is likley to sit out training on Thursday as a precaution.
Rooney appeared to be hobbling when leaving the plane after arriving back in Rustenburg on Wednesday night, but the Manchester United ace insists he will be fit to take on Germany in Bloemfontein.
"My ankle will be OK," Rooney is quoted as saying in The Sun.
Rooney, who suffered ligament damage to his ankle at the end of March playing for Manchester United against Bayern Munich, is set to be assessed by England's medical staff on Thursday.
