FOX again led the week’s adults 18-49 ratings averages, and CBS had the most viewers. ABC took second place in the advertising-centric adults 18-49 demographic.
Good news for the five English broadcasters overall, their combined average adults 18-49 ratings were up nearly 5% vs. the same week last season. ABC was up the most with a gain of 0.2 of an 18-49 ratings point, a 15% gain over the same week last year.
New and improved! The network’s average viewership is now charted in millions of viewers, just like we report all other average viewership information on the site, not in viewership rating. I couldn’t figure out a way to keep the same look to the chart and create two different axes, so I eliminated the units label from the vertical axis entirely, just pay attention to the numbers themselves and note the units (million viewers on the left, rating on the right) below the bars.
Note that the chart includes both AVERAGE VIEWERSHIP (on the left side) and ADULTS 18-49 RATINGS (on the right) using the same vertical axis scale.
Each adults 18-49 rating point is a percentage of the adults 18-49 US TV population in that demographic group and equals 1.32 million adults 18-49.
