High on flamboyance, higher on mush… in flicks. Or so, must go the sentiment of Shah Rukh Khan as regards close ally and "lucky mascot," Karan Johar.
SRK swiftly tweeted for assistance, requesting K Jo to zoom into London without much delay. Reason: SRK wanted K Jo to direct the emotional scenes in his home venture 'Ra.One', since the director is known to have a way with high melodrama and tearjerker sequences in his candyfloss movies.
A reliable source states in a tabloid quote, "Since 'Ra.One' is such an expensive production, Shah Rukh does not want to take any chances with it. He feels that Karan is very lucky for him, since his equation with him right from 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' to the recent 'My Name Is Khan,' has always delivered great results. And he's terrific when it comes to handling emotional scenes on screen. "
Adds the insider, "Karan is in London shooting a few emotional scenes with SRK and Kareena for the film. The schedule of 'Ra.One' has been split into two units for a couple of days. Anubhav Sinha, who is the original director of the film will shoot the action packed sequences, while Karan, in the meanwhile will complete all the mushier bits in the movie." Two gud, SRK.
