Tonight on White Collar: 3.03 "Deadline"

Last week saw the White Collar team seeking treasure, this week the investigation focuses on a big pharmaceutical company whilst dabbling in undercover work. We also look in to recent casting news that contains some spoilers for future episodes.
Diana (Marsha Thomason) is the one who gets to play dress up this week as she becomes a journalists assistant, in order to protect a women's life from the company that she has been investigating. This reporter played by Jayne Atkinson (Criminal MindsGossip Girl24) adds a littleDevil Wears Prada in to the episode as she takes a page from the Meryl Streep/Anna Wintour handbook. We will also be seeing more of Sara (Hilarie Burton) this week, who despite having been made a regular character this season has had very little to do so far.
In White Collar casting spoiler news TV Guide exclusively reported that Beau Bridges (Brothers & Sisters, Stargate: AtlantisStargate SG-1)  has been cast to play Peter's (Tim DeKay) mentor in the mid-season finale that will air August 9. Bridges will play Agent Kramer, a well decorated federal officer and art expert who trained Peter at Quantico. He has a paternal relationship with Peter that is in contrast to his intimidating presence. No other details have been given regarding his role in the show but I think it is likely to have something to do with the Nazi treasure. Another piece of casting news regarding mentors is that Ghostbuster's star Ernie Hudson will be playing Mozzie's (Willie Garson) mentor, as we find more about his past.
We already know that Eliza Dushku will be guest starring this season, reuniting her with former Tru Calling co-star Matt Bomer and some further details have been released about what will happen when her character is interrogated by Peter and Neal (Matt Bomer). Neal it seems will take the idea of 'good cop/bad cop' to a new level, Bomer spoke to E! and revealed that:
"There's an interrogation scene and at the end of it, Eliza's character gives Neal a pretty nice embraced kiss in front of Peter in the interrogation room."
This sounds like it could get pretty steamy and that it will be surely annoy Peter, something that Neal relishes in.
Season 3 has started strong, the deception plot of Neal actually being in possession of the stolen Nazi submarine treasure adds a new twist to the series and has made sure that the show will not go stale. We also still get to see Peter and Neal work together, and the chemistry between these characters is still at the core of what makes White Collar such a joy to watch.
