Game of Thrones Video Game Preview (A Game of Thrones: Genesis)

I'm apparently behind with the times, because I wasn't really aware that the video game developer Cyanide was putting together a PC game called "A Game of Thrones: Genesis".  We're still not sure of the release date, but it's supposed to appear in 2011, and the developer has already released some information about the game, some cool photos and a trailer.
The game won't be focusing on the storylines you saw inGame of Thrones' first season, but is intended to be a prequel to the storylines explored in George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Fire and Ice" series.  Here's the official description from the developer:
Thanks to a well-developed single player campaign written under supervision of the author, "A Game of Thrones - Genesis" immerses you into the heart of the battles and intrigues between the Houses that shaped the Kingdom of Westeros.
From Nymeria's arrival in the Kingdom of Dorne to the awakening of the "Others" beyond the Wall, you'll live the origins of the A Song of Ice and Fire saga through more than 1000 years of history. From year -750 to year 299, you will take part in Westeros' founding events and largest battles, such as Aegon the Conqueror's invasion of the continent or the War of the Usurper.
The game can be played alone or with up to 8 players, who would all compete for the Iron Throne:
Accessing the Iron Throne is achieved by building up Prestige for your House. Different ways are at your disposal: amassing wealth, building many alliances, controlling the Sept temples, slaughtering the opponent… However, some actions may also lead to Prestige loss: laying siege to an enemy castle or town during peace time, being victim of a secret alliance, having your bastard sons discovered, and others. Build up enough Prestige to access the Iron Throne, or crush your opponent’s own prestige to lead them to their dismissal!
But don't fear, you will see familiar faces in the game!  One of the game producers told Fans Share: “We cover part of Robert's Rebellion so we do have Ned Stark and Robert Baratheon. We certainly haven't gone out of our way to place sentences from the books, but I seem to remember one line about "that frozen face of yours". We have also pulled paragraphs from the books when creating the graphics for the game. Our giants, for example, are word for word perfect.”
Additional information can be found on the official website for "A Game of Thrones: Genesis".  Below is the trailer for the game, as well as some awesome looking screenshots.
