On this week's Keeping Up With The Kardashians"Out of Wedlock", Kris and Kourtney lock horns over Kourtney's refusal to get married. Kris is now an ordained minister and is determined to marry Kourtney and Scott, literally. While shopping for furniture for Kourtney’s house, Kris suggests something for the guest room. Kourtney casually mentions not wanting to decorate it in case she needs it for a nursery. Kris assumes Kourtney is planning another baby and immediately launches into a ‘you should get married’ spiel. Kourtney denies planning for another baby and cuts her off.
Scott visits is therapist and does admit that Kourtney wants another baby. The thought scares him, because as it is he feel some jealousy when Kourtney is with Mason. Not only does he feel like an outsider, he sleeps in a separate bed while Mason sleeps with Kourtney. Pastor Brad, who married Khloe and Lamar, visits with Kris to prepare for his own wedding. Having become an ordained minister herself, Kris is planning to help officiate at Pastor Brad’s wedding. She discusses Kourtney having another baby and he agrees that Kourtney should get married. Naturally, Kris plans to use Pastor Brad’s endorsement as ammo.
Kris visits with Kourtney and Kim and immediately shoves Pastor Brad’s thoughts in Kourtney’s face. A year ago Kris didn’t even want Scott in the family, and Kim gently points out the irony. Kris admits she once thought of Scott as a “hot mess” but thinks he has since turned his life around. Kourtney tells them both she doesn’t want to get married right now and butt out.
Kris confides to her best friend how she feels. Her friend makes Kris feel worse when she suggests that maybe Kourtney just wants the babies and not the daddy. Kris is now even more determined to get her way. Not only does she want Kourtney and Scott to get married, she also wants to perform the ceremony. While rehearsing for the pastor’s wedding, Kris makes Scott and Kourtney play the part of bride and groom. Naturally this leads into the discussion, with Kris accusing Kourtney of going against traditions she was raised in. Kourtney simply replies “f*** your traditions” and "shut the f*** up”. Even Scott thinks that’s harsh. Watch the explosive scene in the video below. When Kim sides with Mom, Kourtney storms out with Scott in tow. Privately, Scott fears that Kourtney thinks their relationship is only temporary.
Kris complains to Bruce that Kourtney is being the family rebel. Bruce tells her if she wants to drive her kids away, keep meddling in their lives. Kris curses at him, but Bruce insists, stop meddling. In a private moment, Kim asks Kourtney why she is so opposed to marriage, even asking if maybe Scott isn’t “the one.” Kourtney says that’s not it. And then the truth: Scott has come a long way since his bad boy days (recall the drinking, the tantrums, the violence) but will not marry him unless she is convinced that he is 100% rehabilitated. Because of her Mom's divorce from the late Robert Kardashian, and Kourtney having hard the hardest time with it out of all the siblings, she doesn’t want to subject Mason to the same trauma. Kim suggests she admit this real reason to Kris. Kourtney says no way, it would only propel Kris into a whole other drama if she gets it in her head Kourtney had been scarred by divorce.
At Pastor Brad’s wedding, which takes place in the Jenner mansion, Kourtney is uncomfortable. She knows Kris will start with her once the reception begins. Naturally Kris can’t help herself and makes several comments that unnerve Kourtney. They have a private confrontation in which Kourtney says once and for all, she’ll get married when they’re ready. Kris starts to cry. Kourtney leaves. Kris ends the show by hoping one day Kourtney will realize she is going against God’s will.
On next week's Keeping up with the Kardashians, Rob clashes with Scott and winds up in the emergency room. Check it out next Sunday, July 17 at 10 p.m. (EST) on E!
