Game was seriously thrown around tonight on Big Brother as alliances were formed, lines were drawn, and the first two eviction nominees were announced. Also, tonight's Luxury Competition had to have been the most sexually suggestive competition in Big Brother history. More on that pseudo-orgy later.
Battle Lines Were Drawn, Meet "The Regulators"
Right after Julie Chen announced the Golden Key twist, the houseguests went right into strategizing and forming alliances. It was a given that there would be a Newbies vs. Veterans split in the house, but four of the Newbies decided to take their alliance even further by forming The Regulators, which consist of Cassi, Dominic, Lawon, and Keith. Their alliance makes sense (even though I hate 4+ alliances) given the circumstances of the game at the present time. With all that said, the Regulators' strategy seems to only help them get to the top 10, and doesn't have a chance in hell at surviving against the Veterans swift dominance over the house.
Dick, Jeff, and Rachel quickly worked on getting the numbers to trump the 8 person Newbies and selected Adam and Porsche to be the turncoats to help carry out the plan. Adam knows the game and doesn't trust what Evel Dick, who thinks Adam will quickly succumb to the darkside, is selling him. Porsche, on the other hand, was ready and willing to sell out her fellow Newbies in exchange for a spot to hang out with the Veterans. However, Porsche's partner Keith, a proud card-carrying member of the Regulators, was not down with this plan and yet didn't attempt to school the poor girl on why it wasn't wise to drink the Veterans' Kool-Aid. Instead, he shined her his pearly whites all while plotting on how to take her down when the chance presented itself.
The Luxury Competition aka The Big Brother Orgy
The only thing to discuss about the Luxury Competition, besides who won, would be the sexual overtones the players engaged in to win the competition. The players had to wear liquid absorbing outfits and dip themselves in milk and try to wring the milk out of their costumes and into six jugs to avoid cold showers, an asylum bedroom, and slop for the week. This was a prime opportunity for Keith to let off some pent-up sexual frustration as he grinded on every person who landed in front of him, male or female, in some suggestive positions that might have the Parents Television Council having a heart attack at the moment. It was as close to an orgy as we would ever see take place in the Big Brother house, which should hold over Keith and his libido for a while.
The teams were placed in 3 groups of 4 and consisted of the Orange Team (Kalia, Lawon, Cassi, and Shelly), the Blue Team (Dick, Jeff, Jordan, and Daniele) and the Green Team (Adam, Dominic, Porsche, and Keith). While each team engaged in rough, sexual positions to fill up their jugs, the Green and Blue teams ended up winning the competition, which resulted in the Kalia, Lawon, Shelly, and Cassi being the Have Nots of the week.
The Nominees Are...
Despite Rachel's annoyance factor, the girl can have moments of common sense slip through. She knows Keith is a potentially dangerous player and Porsche is basically a floater of sorts (which Rachel and Brendon re-established tonight that they hated). So after some deliberation, Rachel decided to put Porsche and Keith on the block so that Porsche could get the Golden Key and Keith be sent home with the quickness.
Analysis
While Rachel might be HOH, Evel Dick ruled the house tonight. He was the one going around making the deals with Porsche and Adam (who didn't buy it, but still) and didn't have a problem getting his point across. Jeff might can think that Dick is doing all of their dirty work, but at least Dick did all the dirty work before and managed to clinch the game in his favor. However, none of that will mean a hill of beans now since Dick is gone from the house. In other words, the Vets have lost their strongest player and will have to get their hands dirty if the plan on sticking with the plan of eliminating the Newbies.
Dominic forming The Regulators (God, I hate that name...) wasn't too much of a surprise, but it's not a well-thought out alliance. In my mind, the Regulators are 1) only looking at the first 4 weeks of gameplay and 2) are in some way conceding to the Veterans by allowing them to be picked off one by one. The Newbies need strength in numbers and 4 is not going to cut it against 6 powerful Veterans of the game.
Porsche fulfilled my prediction that she would be star struck by the Vets and would want to side with them in the game. Although at this point, if Keith doesn't win POV, I see him going home and there would be nothing The Regulators could do to stop that unless they campaign like hell for Keith and expose themselves in the process to the Veterans. It will be interesting to see what happens come Wednesday, unless you follow the Live Feeds that is.
Random Thoughts
- Does Kalia hate gay people or does she find Lawon irritating? Either way, this completely counters her claim of being the Real Life Carrie Bradshaw, because Carrie had a lot of gay friends and was pretty tolerant of their culture. I ask because Kalia has been bombing the hell out of Lawon since she's been stuck with him as a partner, which isn't cool on so many levels.
- Shelly showcased her awe of Jeff and Jordan to the happy couple tonight, and while it wasn't creepy, it still was a bit much when she "hoped" they would meet her husband. Maybe not "much," but still...
- I call that a drinking game should be formed whenever Adam growls. It could get you silly drunk by the end of the hour.
- The 4th twist wasn't revealed tonight, which makes me think Evel Dick's departure probably affected it to some extent. Wonder what it could have been?
So what were your thoughts on tonight's game play and results?
