5 Reasons to Ditch Your Android for an iPhone

There’s a lot of hype surrounding the iPhone. You may wonder why all the commotion. After all, it’s just a phone, right? Wrong. The iPhone is more than a phone; for some, it’s more like a friend, a personal assistant, or even a loved one. If you’ve been carrying the Android around, thinking about how great it is and wondering to yourself how much better a smart phone could possibly be, then you may want to come over to the other side – at least just to see what you are missing out on. You don’t have to run out and trade your Android for an iPhone just yet – at least not until you’ve read this. Here are five reasons to ditch your Android for an iPhone.

Upgrade Abilities

Whether or not Android operating systems will work for you is completely dependent on the make and model of your phone. That means your phone’s upgrade-ability is somewhat like a lottery: either you luck out or you don’t. With the iPhone, you know that when an upgrade comes out, it will definitely apply to you.

Digital Rights Management (DRM)

DRM refers to your ability to stream movies and content to your mobile device from popular sources like Netflix. Netflix must secure the content it streams by way of a DRM agreement. For years now, Netflix has been able to provide its service to iPhone users . . . but, as for Android, that’s still a no-go.

Operating System Ability

Apple’s operating system (iOS) is considerably more stable than Google’s Android operating system because iOS is only compatible with Mac devices. When you think about it, this only makes sense, considering the widely variant devices the Android operating system must work on. When you use an Android, be prepared to crash and lock up periodically – much more so than with the iPhone.

Apps

The iPhone gets apps first, sometimes way before those apps are made available to Android users. Why? Because of the operating system (see above): apps written for Androids must encompass a number of different configurations for a number of different devices.

Leadership

Apple isn’t always the very first to try a new technology, but Apple consistently takes new technologies and makes them better than anyone else’s. Apple’s reputation speaks for itself in that department.
I can’t tell you to switch from Android to iPhone, but I can point out some compelling reasons for why you may want to. Have a look over this list and then decide for yourself if you’re really as loyal to your Android as you think.
