People look up to famous actors and actresses like Elvis Presley, Michael Douglas, George Clooney, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Julia Roberts and so many more. In the music industry, many personalities and singers have been added throughout the years which made the entertainment world more fascinating and ostentatiously magnificent including Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Adele, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Rihanna and thousands more and still coming.
Also, breakthroughs have arisen and the entertainment world has never been this great most especially when the era of reality shows entered the scene. Year by year, a list of reality shows pops out into our television and sometimes we ask “Are we even interested?” but yes, people cannot deny that even once or twice in their existence, there has been this one or a few more reality shows that they got hooked on and never let one episode pass.
Most people would say that it is Survivor that really started it all since it is one of the successful reality shows that the world has followed. And there was American Idol which allowed every hopeful American to reach for their dream of becoming the next big singing sensation, and America’s Next Top Model for aspiring models. But this year, one of the reality shows that stood out was Dancing with the Stars Season 13 which features different famous personalities from all phases of entertainment like Kim Kardashian’s brother, Rob Kardashian, the transgender activist and son of Cher, Chaz Bono, and the actor and army veteran, J.R. Martinez, who actually became the season’s grand winner.
Who would’ve thought that common people whom we have never seen dancing could make it into a dance contest show and what added to the complexity and excitement of this reality show is that it showcases ballroom dancing which we all know is not an easy type of dance. Well, they’ve all got partners, so basically they got their own private ballroom dance lessons firsthand and got millions of people mesmerized.
After watching the season, some may have thought “why not take ballroom dance lessons too and be a star!” No wonder it’s now easy to be in the limelight unlike the past decades, thanks to technology like YouTube, Facebook and the Internet in general. Just upload videos, photos and if one influential person sees it, voila! Welcome to the world of entertainment!
