Tonight On Castle: Season 3 Finale "Knockout"

The day Castle fans around the world have been anxiously waiting for has finally arrived. The season 3 finale, entitled "Knockout", is scheduled to air tonight at 10pm and the excitement in the fandom is almost palpable.

"Knockout" will revisit the storyline of Detective Kate Beckett's mother's murder as new evidence will come to surface regarding the case. Emotions will be flying all over the place as this is the one thing capable of shaking up Beckett so thoroughly that she can completely lose her cool.

In case you need to refresh your memory, the last time the show dealt with this case was earlier this season in the now iconic episode "Knockdown". By the end of that episode, a hit man hired by whoever is behind the conspiracy surrounding Johanna Beckett's death, ended up in jail. He killed the detective that was the lead on Kate's mom's case when he tried to reach out to Beckett with new information about her mother's death. He also had Kate under surveillance and tried to kill her, but Castle saved her at the last second.

That hit man, who goes by the alias of Hal Lockwood, will stage a spectacular prison break and all hell will break loose on our beloved characters. There will be a shocking betrayal and a premature visit from the Grim Reaper in what promises to be an explosive finale.

The relationship between Castle and Beckett will also be featured quite heavily in this episode since Kate's feelings will be all over the place as she dives back into her personal tragedy.

If you are confused about all the details we know so far about Johanna Beckett's death, go take a look at our crash course "The Murder of Johanna Beckett 101".
