At the end of the Pretty Little Liars season 2 premiere, the girls were faced with a shocking text message that indicated that Ian could actually be alive. We all saw his body at the end of season 1, but when it disappeared shortly after we were left wondering whether he was alive or his body had been stolen.
It looks like we'll be getting answers in the July 12 episode of Pretty Little Liars. Here's how ABC Family describes the episode:
"As the shocking news about Ian makes the rounds through Rosewood, Aria, Emily, Hanna, Spencer and their families all try to cope with the outcome and some much needed closure. With her home life particularly in turmoil, Spencer stays focused on her family and the surprising support she gets from her parents. Emily, on the other hand, can’t seem to find the closure that others are relishing, but rather digs her heels in to find any shred of evidence they may have over looked. And Aria looks to find comfort in Ezra, but with their relationship still new to the outside world, the couple struggles to be so public so fast. With everyone looking for comfort and sharing a huge sigh of relief, could Emily be right and the devil they think has been put to rest is nowhere near the evil that still looms out there, just waiting for the Liars to get theirs? Meanwhile, Hanna gets a surprising look into Caleb’s life after his shady foster mother surfaces."
Now consider that description with the photo below. Clearly the girls attend a funeral. While the photo doesn't actually show who is in the coffin, it seems reasonable to assume that Ian has died based on the text above. But, of course, this doesn't mean any mysteries are really solved. Do you remember the brief conversation between Ian and Spencer in the season 1 finale when Spencer had to correct Ian about how Alison actually died (read it at the end of this article)? That would indicate that Ian might not have actually killed Alison, which means that the girls still have to find Alison's killer, along with trying to figure out who "A" is.
Speaking of "A"....was he/she the one who pretending to be Ian and sending the text messages to Melissa until the truth was discovered or is there someone else involved?
