I have to admit, I'm dying for some solid season 7 spoilers for Supernatural and I don't want to wait another 9 days until the Supernatural panel at Comic-Con to get them.
This weekend I posted about Firefly alum Jewel Staite making a guest appearance in episode 7.03(the one Jensen Ackles is directing). Also taking place this weekend was a Supernaturalconvention in New Jersey. Jensen couldn't make it, but Jared Padalecki did throw the fans a few mini spoilers about season 7. And a former guest star confirmed her return.
So do you want some tiny Supernatural spoilers for next season? If so, read on.
Sam's Wall & Memories of Hell
Several fans in attendance, including
@NancyRosee, quoted Jared as saying that we will see more of what Sam went through in Hell and that season 7 is going to be scary because of Sam's new memories. In the season 6 finale, you'll recall that Castiel broke the wall in Sam's head and Sam has a little Inception moment, where he eventually forced different parts of his subconscious to remember his time in Hell, as well as the time that he had no soul. After coming out of his dream state Sam headed to where Dean and Bobby were confronting Castiel, Crowley and Raphael. Sam managed to stab Cas, but looked very unsteady on his feet. So it seems like the writers will be exploring what happened to Sam in Hell and how his new memories will be affecting his life.
The Impala
A lot of recurring characters died in the season 6 finale (including Balthazar, which I'm still kind of devastated about), but my biggest concern was the destruction of the beloved Impala. Some fans might have noticed the symmetry between the Impala being destroyed in the season 1 finale and again in the season 6 finale. But, like with season 2, Dean will be back to work on his baby...right after they figure out what to do with Castiel. One fan at the convention (
@tehjessicarae) tweeted: "Jared said if the Impala survived season 1 it can survive season 6. Dean will be working on it."
Returning Guest Star
Remember Sheriff Mills who first appeared in season 5 and then made another appearance in the season 6 episode "Weekend at Bobby's"? Kim Rhodes had a panel at the convention and, as tweeted by
@tiptoe39, she revealed that she will be returning for a guest appearance in season 7. I believe she heads to Vancouver around the end of July, so we should be seeing her early on in the season.
Updated: Supernatural director Guy Bee, who is directing episode 7.02,
just confirmed that Kim Rhodes will be appearing in his episode (ignore how he calls it episode 703, that's only because the real episode 7.03 is being shot first).
As for those Alona Tal rumors about Jo returning for season 7, the official word is "no comment", which means no confirmation or denial. When we know more, we'll let you know.
Supernatural's seventh season will premiere on September 23.
