It probably broke a little late for The Daily Show, so we might have to wait until Thursday to see if Jon Stewart tackles this little on-air dither that occurred during an interview on CNN's talk show Piers Morgan Tonight.
Tea Party politician Christine O'Donnell, famous for her 2010 campaign to become a U.S. Senator, appeared on Morgan to discuss her new book, Trouble Maker. However, when she decided that she didn't like Morgan's line of questioning, she walked off the interview, leaving a "bemused" interviewer in her wake.
“Ms O'Donnell wasn't happy about me quizzing her re views on witchcraft and sex. But really flipped at gay marriage Qs,” Morgan tweeted. In the interview, which you can see below, O'Donnell tried to stick to her talking points, though Morgan wanted to quiz her about other issues -- particularly her views on gay marriage.
Calling Morgan "rude," O'Donnell responded to his line of questioning by asking him if he was carrying out the interview in an appropriate manner. "Don't you think, as a host, if I say, 'This is what I want to talk about,' that's what we should address?" O'Donnell inquired.
"Uh, not really, no," Morgan replied. "You're a politician!"
While I personally think Morgan has the right of it, you can decide for yourself by watching the video below. The interview, despite being cut off, will air on CNN tonight at 9/8c
