Wishing Shahid Kapoor a very happy Birthday!

Image
He is someone, who has, in his own sweet and boyish ways, redefined the term 'acting'. Despite the fact that he has the DNA and the genes of two of the all time superstars, he preferred to wear off his jeans by slogging it out in the sun and make a name for himself! Did he succeed? Well, he not just succeeded but also set unprecedented records… for he is none other than today's Birthday Boy Shahid Kapoor . After having lent his name to a million smash hit films, songs and also a zillion FMCG products, this dude is sitting on a goldmine, since he has his diary filled with appointments galore till the end of eternity! Such is his 'demand' over the 'command'! A testimonial to this stands in the form films ranging from Ishk Vishk till Kaminey . With today's birthday, the irony is that he not grows a year old, but he grows ten years younger! Such is the greatness of this 'sabka laadla chokra' called Shahid Kapoor. ApnaDesi gives you a

Charlie Sheen’s In Rehab; What Does It Mean For CBS And Two And A Half Men?

Image
Anyone with any exposure to popular media knows that Charlie Sheen has gone into rehab, but what does it mean for Two And A Half Men and CBS? Eighteen episodes of “Two and a Half Men” have already been taped, a CBS spokesman said, and 15 have aired. The network had ordered 24 episodes of the program; a typical season-length order for a network show is 22 episodes. And if Mr. Sheen were to come back within a few weeks, the network could simply truncate the order and still meet advertisers’ expectations. Even if Mr. Sheen’s troubles grow more protracted, CBS could take one of its other Monday comedies — “The Big Bang Theory” has shown solid growth over two seasons — and make that the anchor at 9 p.m. rather than “Men,” and place “Men” repeats elsewhere on that evening’s schedule. via Advertising Age . Unless something wacky happens that carries over past this season, the downside for CBS is only the potential loss of 6 new episodes of Two And A Half Men , presumably t

I’ll never quit music: Vijay Antony

Image
Vijay Antony has denied reports appeared in a section of the media saying he was not accepting many offers to score music these days as he had decided to don the greasepaint by playing the lead role in a film. “It is true that I am going to act. But this can’t stop me from scoring music. The musician in me is the real Vijay Antony and he would never die for any reason. No matter how many films I am acting in, I would never quit music,” he says. Claiming that he was badly hurt by such rumours, Vijay Antony adds, “For me, bidding adieu to music equals to committing suicide. So there is no question of parting ways with my passion for the sake of acting.” On sharing the work with G V Prakash Kumar for ‘Angadi Theru’, he says, “Prakash is my good friend. So there is no hesitation at my side when I was told that we both would be working for the film directed by Vasantha Balan.”

Madhumitha says no

Image
Madhumitha has turned down a couple of regular heroine offers in Tamil as she wants to do only meaningful roles. She has taken this decision after the impact Ameer starrer 'Yogi' made on her. Elaborating more, the actress says, "Because many had appreciated me for my performance in 'Yogi'. I want to continue the good show in the future too. Also, I want fans to remember me for a long time." On acting with Ameer, she says, "We all know him as a talented filmmaker. But the actor in him came out in full vigour on the sets of 'Yogi'. We all were stunned to see him performing without any fear in front of the camera."

I use to chat a lot with my colleagues on the sets. This friendly attitude of mine has resulted in such reports.” Sunaina adds: “Both Bharath and Nakul are my good friends. Nakul is the hero of my first film while I was introduced to Bharath at a crucial stage of my career. Both of them give valuable suggestions and are very cooperative.” On her forthcoming film ‘Yadhumagi’, she says, “I am happy to act in a movie produced by Chozha Creations, who are behind many blockbusters. Directed by R Balakumar, ‘Yadhumagi’ is an interesting love story. My hero in the film is Sachin, a fresher who is a talented person.”

Image
‘Mathiyosi’ which is getting ready for release is yet another film set in the backdrop of Madurai. However director Nanda Periyasami has a reason to justify his decision behind choosing the temple town as the movie’s base. “Because my native is Madurai, it’s the place where I was born and brought up.
