Model Katie Price has been ordered to pay 'substantial' damages after falsely claiming her ex-husband Peter Andre was romancing his manager. Earlier Price had targeted 'Mysterious Girl' hit-maker insisting that Andre was dating his manager Claire Powell, reports starpulse.com. Powell's solicitor clarified that these rumours were 'completely untrue' and a judge at London's High Court Friday ordered Price, who was not present, to pay undisclosed damages for the remark. 'I didn't really want to be in court but if something bad is said, which is going to trash your reputation, you have to clear your name,' said Powell.

Brand Warriors: Ash Vs Kat!

Image
Katrina Kaif is far from happy. Sharp media attention over her fainting on the Malshej Ghat sets of Farah Khan's 'Tees Maar Khan' has rankled Kat, since she describes the unfortunate swooning as "a one off incident." An irked Kaif blasted the media citing "constant negativity" as her prime grouse against the scribe tribe. Besides, Kat's supremely upset over pen pushers pitting Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her as "warring contenders" over brand endorsements, since Kat has been signed up for some of the priccceeeyyyyyyyy labels which Ash had earlier advertised for. "Such stories are just publicity mechanisms to create controversy," groans Kat in a tabloid chat. "Actors who invest a lot of time and energy will never put anyone down." On the professional front, Kat has much to beam about: 'Raajneeti' showcases her in a deglam role, while she will revv up the saucy quotient with her roles in 'Dostana 2' and '

Vogging Bachchan: Where's The Apology?

Image
Bachchan had turned into a blogging delight. And with 'Bachchan Bol' the 'vogging' or voice blogging facility, he's carping some more on it. Apparently, Bachchan Senior lost his shirt when a renowned tabloid carried a sorry tale about Ash not being able to deliver coz' of stomach tuberculosis, and all such talk …which was concocted rubbish! Ash wrote a terse letter on the family's behalf, which the periodical promptly published… but smartly left out the bit about retracting the story and apologising for the trauma caused! A hurt Bachchan didn't hesitate to retaliate. "I believe that if you've hurt someone publicly, then you must publicly apologise for it too." says Bachchan, vogging away…. To show their displeasure, the Bachchans kept away from their famed awards nite too.

'I'm excited to be going on tour right now. A lot of music that I hear coming from new artists, I mean, some of it's good and some of it I'll completely pass on. Rosoff added: "That can only happen if she is based in a relationship where they have a high regard for each other as people, not as simply an attractive man and attractive woman." Also fellow Long Island counselor Dr. Robin Newman said: "Fight for your marriage, fight for it. And look at what your part in it was. I'm not saying Sandra was all at fault, but there's something going on there that she needs to address herself." Bullock and James have been married for five years. Price Wise: Ash She Declares It!

Image
The mindblowing figures sent ur head reeling! While Priyanka Chopra demands a kool Rs 6 crore ('Pyaar Impossible'), Kangna Ranaut sweetly purrs quoting Rs 5 crore (forthcoming Chirag Paswan starrer), and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's reported asking fee for 'Crooked' had escalated to a kool Rs 10 crore! As per industry whispers, Ash's fee for the flick is way beyond it!! Even as these pecuniary rumours gather momentum, trade analysts are clucking their collective tongues over the issue… and pooh poohing all such bombastic figures. A prominent trade analyst asserts, "The remuneration of a film's star cast works out to about 40 to 45 per cent of the film's budget. The leading man takes about 25 per cent and the remaining 20 per cent takes care of the heroine, second lead actors and character artistes." Declares he, "All such figures that heroines have been quoting are a mere eye wash. It's actually the heroine's PR machinery which does a

Robbie Williams pokes fun at Mark Owen on stage

British singer Robbie Williams poked fun at his former Take That bandmate Mark Owen on stage while performing in London. Owen, who recently confessed to cheating on his wife Emma Ferguson with 10 women, was the butt of a number of jokes made by Williams on stage, reported femalefirst.co.uk. 'This is going to be one of the best nights of my life, do you know, it's so nice to be the only member of Take That not in trouble this week. That's a surprise isn't it?' he said. Later, the 36-year-old singer said his song 'Rock DJ' reminded him of Owen, who has since gone into rehab for an alcohol problem. 'Me with the floorshow, kicking with your torso. I'll be like Mark Owen by the time I come off after singing that. I shouldn't have said that, should I?' said Williams. Despite his jokes, Williams, who has overcome his own battle with addiction, has been supporting close friend Owen through this difficult time, along with the other members of Take Tha

Priyanka Weds The Shahs!

Image
Priyanka Chopra has bagged a family casting coup. Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Saath Khoon Maaf' has PC cast opposite Naseeruddin Shah, enacting her eldest husband, and Vivaan Shah essaying her youngest hubby. Incidentally, Vivaan happens to be the youngest scion of Naseeruddin Shah! The 20 year old Shah had no plans of pursuing an acting career, but he caught the discerning eye of Bhardwaj who swiftly roped him into the venture to essay one of Chopra's seven husbands. Casting both dad and son as cine hubbies to Chopra seems an audacious attempt, but VB's supremely convinced about his canny move. Reportedly, an undisclosed Russian actor too is being pencilled in to play one of Chopra's husbands! Guess, it's just raining hubbies…

Charmed Over SRK, Gauri, Says Bips...

Image
Confessedly, Bipasha Basu is an unabashed Shah Rukh Khan admirer. And she's maintained that she finds Gauri Khan to be the classiest star spouse in cinebiz. On a recent request from Bips, SRK shot a little inter phew for her fitness video. And Bips has more stars in her celeb eyes now! Canned at 'Mannat', SRK went all out to cooperate with Bips while recording his quotes for Bips' video at his swanky residence. Even as Khan took care of the bytes, Gauri surveyed the bites (eats, that is). BB got a grand taste of the topline hospitality extended by SRK and Gauri. Ever since, she's been singing praises of the duo. Notch one more for the Khans pls…

Padukone Power Charms Rival Khan!

Image
Shah Rukh Khan is home territory for Deepika Padukone. Courtesy, 'Om Shanti Om', she sashayed into the spotlight winning accolades for her star potential and acting skills. But even as SRK went bonkers over her in media chats, Padukone was catching the silent fancy of a rival admirer: Salman Khan! Reportedly, the shirtless Khan was all nuts over DP, but owing to the proxy war between 'OSO' and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Saawariya', he'd kept mum being a Bhansali confidante. If Providence wills it, Khan and Padukone, who're both confessedly dying to work with each other, might just strike the correct casting note with director Anees Bazmee's forthcoming flick. Guess, the Bangalore babe Khan do it…

Presently, Mitra is seeking the spotlight once again… as the drool worthy stunner turns entrepreneur! Says Mitra, "The idea of having an exclusive pet store came to my mind when I wanted to start a business. I tentatively plan to call my store 'Happy Pets.' It is pointless to do something on food and fashion, as the market is already overcrowded." Adds she, "Since I love pets and have eight different breeds of dogs

Bend It Like Tanushree

Image
She's happy flat out since she turned 24 recently! Tanushree Dutta, though, isn't into flats. She'd rather opt for an… apartment. Er, 'Apartment', actually, where she enacts two contrasting personas on celluloid: one as a suave babe and the other a 'desi' belle! Her 'Rokkk' has caught the eerie fancy of cinegoers, and Dutta is hopeful that she'll make a home for herself in several more hearts of movie goers with 'Apartment'. "I have a complete new 'look' and am getting many compliments for it," she says. On her recent b'day, the actress went out on a swift Mumbai outing with her family ("I prefer to spend time with my family"). Birthday resolutions are meant to be maintained, or so opines Dutta who's stuck to her yoga routine, a health tip she kickstarted on her last b'day.

Fashion designer Holland has been close with Agy - then a mousy-haired schoolgirl called Laura Hollins - since they were 13 years old and she served him a fish supper at the chippie where she worked after school in their native Ramsbottom in Lancashire. In an exclusive interview with the Mirror, Henry, who now lives in North London with his boyfriend, revealed that he used to share his flat with the Manhattan based catwalk queen. "Agy and me used to go in the chip shop every Friday she worked there and we used to take the p*** out of the woman in the tabard," the Mirror quoted Henry as saying. Swayamvara' yet another average remake

Ananta Raju; Cast: Sreenagara Kitty, Diganth, Sharmila Mandre, Rangayana Raghu and Raemsh Bhat; Music: Manikanth Kadri; Rating:*1/2 'Swayamvara' is a remake of Hindi film 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra. But the film's director Ananta Raju credits himself with the story and screenplay, thinking that movie buffs and critics are a gullible lot. 'Swayamvara' is a bit and pieces film, which just ends up as a time-pass product. Some funny moments here and there are likeable, but the movie has too many loopholes and one isn't likely to come out recalling really memorable scenes. 'Swayamvara' does have its merits - it has moments to cheer the viewers. The film's heroine Sharmila has done her best - she looks perfect and carries off her role with much aplomb. Sreenagara Kitty has also given a neat performance while Rangayana Raghu has been able to entertain audiences with his antics and comedy-oriented pe

"If you're in this position, set some clear boundaries with your ex and put your new partner first at all times. "If that means shutting down your social networking with them, get it done today and make your new partner f

'Negligent' NHS blamed for Jade Goody's death

Jade Goody's doctor has blamed "incompetent and negligent" staff at UK's National Health Services (NHS) for the reality TV star's death. Ann Coxon, Harley Street consultant and former NHS doctor, blasted medics who, she said, failed to notice the Big Brother celebrity's tumour, even when it was the "size of a tangerine", which led to the 27-year-old's death from cervical cancer on Mother's Day last year. "Her symptoms - which included heavy and irregular bleeding, pain and abnormal smear tests - can all indicate cancer. There should have been alarm bells ringing," The Sun quoted Dr Coxon as saying. "But Jade didn't know that. She'd had abnormal smear tests since she was 16 so by the time she was 27 it didn't worry her much, because she didn't really know what it meant. It had never been properly explained to her. "After she was diagnosed, she said to me, in that typically Jade way, 'I'm not daft. If

Estate of Anna Nichole Smith loses $300 mn court fight

The estate of Anna Nichole Smith is not entitled to the $300 million that the late reality TV star was claiming from the heir of her oil-tycoon ex-husband, a federal appeals court in San Francisco ruled Friday. The ruling follows a 10-year battle between the late Smith and the son of J. Howard Marshall, who was 89 when he married the 26-year-old model in 1994 a few years after they met at a strip club. Smith had claimed that Marshall had promised her $300 million, and that his son, E. Pierce Marshall, used 'fraud and undue influence' to have her removed from the will. Friday's ruling confirmed an earlier ruling by a Texas jury that the money was not meant as a gift for Smith. Smith died in 2007 from a prescription drug overdose. She is survived by her three-year-old daughter.

Diller's IAC/InteractiveCorp wins lawsuit dismissal

A Manhattan federal judge dismissed a long-running class-action lawsuit accusing media mogul Barry Diller's IAC/InterActiveCorp of securities fraud for making false and misleading statements that artificially inflated the Internet conglomerate's stock price. U.S. District Judge Richard Holwell wrote the securities fraud claims were "too thin to survive dismissal" of the 5-1-2 year old lawsuit. The lead plaintiff is the Cement Masons and Plasterers Retirement Trust, court records show. A lawyer for the plaintiffs did not immediately return a call seeking comment. IAC, based in New York, also did not immediately return a call. The plaintiffs contended that IAC failed to disclose unfavorable trends in its Expedia and Hotels.com hotel booking businesses, and overstated the amount of business its Hotwire tr

Pierce Marshall's estate wins. Hopefully, this will be the end of it," Eric Brunstad, who represented the Marshall estate, told Reuters. Smith married oil tycoon J. Hindi Hain Hum !

Image
This is not a title of a new Hindi movie, but actually a case study. Join IndiaGlitz to nose out what is happening with Bollywood! Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Hum Dil Chuke Sanam, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, etc, show the magnitude of importance, film makers have given to Hindi. They might appear as long as a sentence, and might even reveal the essence of the movie, but titles before the Y2K were actually ‘teaching tutorials’ to many people in India who wanted to learn Hindi. Call it ‘Globalization’ or western influence, titles are changing, and changing as fast as the international worry of ‘Global Warming’. The cause of worry that is grabbing the major attention is usage of English in Hindi movie titles. Remember what your teacher yelled, ‘Talk in English’ and what your Grand Mom said, ‘Talk in Hindi’, well, that’s what is happening now, its English, Hindi or even the fusion of both - Hin-glish. Looks like
