Maneesh Sharma, Associate Director of the SRK starrer Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi , which created box office history for both Yash Raj Films and Shah Rukh Khan, has been entrusted with directing the next YRF project. Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film will star newcomer Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma as the lead pair. Ranveer, a complete fresher with no modelling or acting experience, was selected after his very first audition, having impressed Aditya Chopra instantly. It's finally happening. The crisis-ridden life of Adnan Sami is finally turning a gentle corner. And he's ready to take that long-delayed plunge into acting. Rakesh Roshan has no option left but to re-work on the script of Krrish 3 . The sole reason being that the script which Roshan had penned down more than a year back has the same plot as Spiderman 3 . A source close to the director reveals, "Rakesh Roshan had written portions of Krrish along with other writers. The movie turned out to be a major hit. He does not want the sequel to be any less. Australian filmmaker Baz Luhrmann finds a reflection of Shakespeare's plays in Bollywood films and was so impressed with Indian stars and Hindi movies that he used the song 'Chamma, Chamma' in his musical 'Moulin Rouge'. The coloured version of black and white Telugu classic 'Mayabazar', which created many box office records when released in 1957, has been released. It is tax free. The coloured version was released Jan 30 with 55 prints and the Andhra Pradesh government has given it full tax exemption. The new version is an initiative by Trinity Infra Ventures Produciton house. R.B. Chowdhary, who is one of the top producer-distributors, has marketed the film under the banner Super Good Films. 'Mayabazar is a work of passion and today's filmmakers will certainly realise the monumental efforts that were made by the artists and technicians while making this film,' A. Expelling Amar Singh from the Samajwadi Party (SP) could not have been party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav's decision, actor-MP Jaya Bachchan said Wednesday. 'I don't think the decision to expel Amar Singh from the party has anything to do with Mulayam Singhji. I think that he has been pressurised to take this decision,' Bachchan told NDTV, a day after her close friend Amar Singh was sacked from the primary membership of the SP.
