The entertainment industry has sensed this nerve of the people and thus, they design shows, games, movies and even paintings to project entirely a different world full of weird concepts and happy-go-lucky sort of characters who believe in living the life to the fullest. The entertainment sector is not untouched by the advancements of the growing technology and internet has come up beautifully to promote the idea of laughing away the care. Love Your iPad in Every Way

Image
The iPad is a very expensive product. And if you want to make it user live longer, you need to take good care of it similar to what you will do for all other electronic devices like the Smartphone. You see, because of its slim figure, the tablet is a delicate device that may not withstand the rigors of excessive pressure, force, or even moisture. And this is what we will discuss throughout this document. Let me tell you some basic tips on how to properly maintain and care for your iPad. Once you follow these basic steps, you can confidently say your tablet will go a long way giving service to you. Otherwise, you will see yourself doing an iPad trade in months or weeks from now. First off, the charging phase.  If you were to ask me, the best practice in charging your iPad is to connect it to a power outlet through the dock connector to USB cable and 10W USB power adapter. If you happen to connect it to a USB 2.0 port on a Mac with the dock connector to a USB cable, the gadget m

Samsung attacks 7-inch opponents to Tab 2

Image
When reviewing the 7-inch tablet known as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, we mostly stuck to describing its graces and faults in and of itself, but this week Samsung has released several charts comparing the device to two of what they see as its main rivals. You’ll find that Samsung has quite a few areas it’s eager to show off as superior here in the Galaxy Tab 2 that, shown here, certainly seem to be lacking in the competition. Is it time for e-readers to step up their game and go Android without the extra skin, or will the two other champions of text-based media here in the tablet universe beat out Samsung’s newest effort? Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 lineup includes both this 7-inch version and a 10.1-inch version whose specifications include many of the same features with an added bonus of front-facing speakers and a slightly larger display. Both Galaxy Tab 2 units have dual-core 1GHz Texas Instruments processors and are generally capable of handling all basic apps in the market an

Ex-Sun chief supports Google in Oracle trial

Image
Oracle may have hit a roadblock in its trial against Google over Java licensing issues in Android. Former Sun Microsystems CEO Jonathan Schwartz took the stand today as a witness for the defense, disputing Oracle’s claims that the Java APIs in question were Sun’s proprietary code. When asked by Google’s counsel Robert Van Nest whether the Java APIs were considered proprietary and protected by Sun, Schwartz explained that “these are open APIs, and we wanted to bring in more people…we wanted to build the biggest tent and invite as many people as possible.” Schwartz’s support for Android promoting Java has been documented by blog posts, which Oracle has tried to hide as it could indicate that the legal threats only began after Oracle bought Sun. Oracle’s case against Google is that the Android platform has violated the Java patents and copyrights that it acquired from Sun for $7.4 billion back in 2010. Schwartz’s testimony could undermine Oracle’s case by saying that no paid

Former Nokia exec trashes Elop and Windows Phone

Image
Former Nokia exec Lee Williams has slammed Nokia CEO Stephen Elop and the choke hold of the Windows Phone in a recent interview when asked about his views on the struggling Finnish handset maker. From accusing Elop of a lack of long-term vision to calling the ditching of Symbian and adoption of Windows Phone bad ideas, Williams doesn’t mince words. During the lengthy interview with CNET UK, Williams said that Elop had “no overarching vision.” He claimed that the Nokia CEO was operating more like a CFO, nickel-and-diming instead of focusing on innovation. He also felt that Nokia shouldn’t have ditched Symbian and switch so frantically to Windows Phone. Even with the Lumia Windows Phones, Williams doesn’t feel that Nokia differentiated enough. The battery life is way behind Nokia’s other products and Nokia’s advanced imaging technology couldn’t be leveraged by the Windows Phone code. Williams agreed that Android wasn’t an option, allegedly being “less capable” but he also fe

Revenge: The Trial of Daniel Grayson and a Shocking Discovery for Emily

Image
The moment we’ve been waiting for is here as  Revenge has skipped forward a few months and the prince of Grayson Manor is finally getting his day in court. This exciting episode of one of TV’s best guilty pleasures brings us to day 15 of Daniel’s trial as Jack Porter comes back to town and Emily makes a disturbing realization. Daniel’s day in court.  At the beginning of this week's  Revenge , we learn that the prosecution has called Declan Porter as their final witness in their case against Daniel. While on the stand, the young Porter lies to the jurors and essentially throws his ex-girlfriend under the bus indicating she can’t be trusted as she was high and drunk the night of the party. But wait, he says, in a somewhat amusing line, she’s a “good person!”  To fight the prosecution and build some sympathy for Daniel, Mr. Brooks, the Graysons’ lawyer wants to call Emily to the stand. After all, she is the only one  who is there by choice (or so he thinks) and not by obligatio

Nikita Preview: Birkhoff Gets Arrested and the Team Goes Broke

Image
We got a stellar, emotional episode of  Nikita  last week when our heroine was kidnapped and tortured by a former nemesis. The episode also featured the death of Senator Pierce, which could mean bad news for Nikita and her team. In this week's episode, Nikita decides to try a new tactic to sabotage Percy: financial ruin. Unfortunately, Percy is a clever one and he actually ends up stealing all of Birkhoff's money, leaving the team without their substantial backing. While Nikita plans her jailbreak, Michael and Alex head out to retrieve the stolen funds. Watch a preview and sneak peek be

The Vampire Diaries Preview: Will The Decade Dance Result in a 'Murderous Altercation'?

Image
We're coming to the end of  The Vampire Diaries ' latest season, which means it's time for the semi-annual Decade Dance at Mystic Falls High, which is generally attended by students and centuries old vampires.  This time, Rebekah has chosen a 1920s theme, which means flapper dresses for all of our girls. Of course, Rebekah has also been possessed by the spirit of her mother, Esther, so we're thinking she's not really going to help Caroline with any last-minute plans.  As if Caroline didn't have enough problems, Klaus is still determined to get closer to her and decides to crash the party, which doesn't please Tyler, as you can imagine. Caroline isn't the only one torn between two men...Elena is still (yes, still) trying to decide between Damon and Stefan.  After making out with Damon in the last episode, she was still unable to really commit, so Caroline suggests she ask Stefan to the dance.  But, according to producer Julie Plec, things will go

Beginning on Sunday, June 3rd at 9:00, the 13 episode season thrusts us back into the world of Jane Bingum and company, as each and every character is facing some type of professional or personal dilemma. The Fred/Stacy/Grayson situation gets even more complicated, thanks to the events of the third season finale, while Kim can't seem to keep control of the firm while Jane's away in Italy. But since this is  Drop Dead Diva , you have to wonder about who the guest stars are going to be. The show has never been shy about bringing recognizable faces into its world and the upcoming season looks to be no different. Supernatural Photos: Felicia Day Guest Stars and Bobby Tries to Help the Winchesters

Image
Joss Whedon has seemingly had an unintended affect on  Supernatural  this season.  Thus far, three actors and actresses who have appeared in his television shows have made guest appearances: Jewel Staite ("The Girl Next Door") and James Marsters and Charisma Carpenter ("Shut Up, Dr. Phil!").  In addition to Marsters and Carpenter, Felicia Day, a third Buffy alum, will be making an appearance in the upcoming February 27 episode of  Supernatural,  titled "The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo".  You may also remember her from Whedon's online series "Dr. Horrible", as well as appearances in the webseries "The Guild" and the television show "Eureka". Day will star as Charlie, a brilliant hacker.  It seems that Dick Roman has finally gotten his hands on Frank's hard drive, although there's still no word on what actually happened to Frank (who wants to place bets that he faked his own death to throw off the L
