Image
On tonight’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, "Talk To My Agent", Kim faces her fears of dancing after being publicly embarrassed by Prince on stage. Scott makes Kris think he needs to take over managing the Jenner girls since she has no time for them. The Kardashian sisters meet with Sears about a new clothing line. In front of 150 Sears corporate staff, Kim gets toungue-tied during the Q&A session. Kourtney and Khloe answer her questions and save the day. That’s not the only time Kim freezes up. During his concert, pop star Prince make Kim come on stage with him but when she refused to dance with him, he booted her from the stage. While not shown on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, you can view the video below. Khloe teases Kim about it and Kim admits she’s not a dancer. Scott arrives home from work early and Kris rides him about his work ethic. Scott walks out of the room. He finds the opportunity to take revenge when Kendall tells him how Kris left h

True Blood Promo: Episode 4.09 "Let's Get Out of Here"

Image
The meeting between vampires and witches ended in bloodshed in the most recent episode of True Blood. While fighting broke out between the two groups, Sookie was shot and Eric was once again a target of Marnie and her spells. Fortunately, Alcide managed to spirit a bleeding Sookie away from the fight, but we can only guess how unhappy Debbie will be about her boyfriend getting involved with the woman that she hates. Meanwhile, Lafayette is now possessed by a restless spirit who is connected to the creepy doll and possibly the strange occurrences that happen around baby Mikey. Jessica told Hoyt that she thought they should break up after experiencing more of her budding connection to Jason, but Hoyt took the whole situation badly. Unfortunately for Jessica, Jason also wasn't happy that she broke his best friend's heart and also revoked her invitation to his house. In the August 21 episode of True Blood, Sookie will be attempting to recover from her recent injuries. Jesu

Breaking Bad Renewed for Fifth and Final Season

Image
The long and dark journey of Walter White will be coming to an end with Breaking Bad's fifth season. The series has been renewed for a sixteen-episode final order, according to Deadline . These episodes, which will be filmed next year, might be split up into two seasons or simply aired as one. Vince Gilligan, Breaking Bad's creator, expressed his happiness about the set end date. “It’s a funny irony, I’d hate to know the date of my own last day on earth, but I’m delighted to know what Walter White’s will be — episodically speaking,” Gilligan said in a statement. “This is a great gift to me and to my wonderful writers. It’s knowledge which will allow us to properly build our story to a satisfying conclusion. Now, if we don’t manage to pull that off, we’ve got no one to blame but ourselves.” The show, currently in the middle of its fourth season, will be the first AMC series to come to a natural, pre-planned ending. Mad Men, which has also been renewed, will end after season

Tonight's all new episode of True Blood picks up right where the last one left off. The question of what happens to Jessica is resolved and the conflict between the witches and the vampires escalates. Want a few more details about tonight's episode? Below are a few mild spoilers . Bill vs. Marnie : When the dust of Marnie's spell finally settles, she is very unhappy to learn that only a small number of vampires actually perished. In an effort to resolve the situation, Bill asks Marnie/Antonia to a meeting. Eric and Sookie take a break from their marathon sex long enough to tell Bill they're prepared to fight with him. When the two factions - witches and vampires, with a few human commandos thrown in - finally meet in the graveyard, the situation escalates and both Eric and Sookie are targeted. Lafayette sees dead people: You know that creepy ghost that Lafayette saw hanging around baby Mikey? Sh's back. In a big way. Lafayette's recently discovered

The Glee Movie Flops at the Box Office

Image
Yikes. The Glee 3-D concert movie was released in theaters this past weekend and it didn't do well. To put it into perspective, it came in the 11th spot and only grossed about $5.7 million (per estimates). Contrast that to the Justin Bieber concert/documentary movie, Never Say Never, that grossed over $30 million in its opening weekend, and the Hannah Montana concert film, Best of Both Worlds, which grossed over $31 million in its opening weekend. Quiet a significant difference, no? The Glee movie only cost $9 million to make, because most of the footage was gathered from its recent concert tour, so it won't end up being a huge money loss. But that doesn't mean the recent box office failing is good for the Glee brand. Of course, it's impossible to know exactly what contributed to the small box office revenue. Is it a result of Glee fatigue? The show catapulted to popularity so quickly and expanded beyond the television screen. Soon there was chart-topping CDs

Sex and the City to Return for a Seventh Season?

Image
Sex and the City, the successful franchise that originally ran for six seasons on HBO before becoming two feature-length films, might be returning to television for a seventh season. That's Sarah Jessica Parker's plan, at least, according to The Daily Mail . Reports indicate that Parker was reluctant to make a third film after the lukewarm reception that the second film received from critics. Parker, who starred as Carrie Bradshaw in all six seasons of the series and both films, reportedly wants to produce the series' return to HBO, though "Darren Star - the man who created the hit series - will have the overall say," the Mail's source says. "Everyone is agreed a TV show is the direction they want to take the franchise in." Returning to television would disrupt plans for a slated prequel film to the series, starring Blake Lively and Emma Roberts as younger versions of the characters. It's unknown yet whether HBO or Darren Star will go ahead w

Review: BBC America's The Hour Is Mad Men Meets Rubicon

Image
The Hour is the show you would get if you put Mad Men and Rubicon in a martini shaker and gave them a good blending. The series, which premieres Wednesday, August 17 on BBC America, is equal parts office period drama and conspiracy thriller, centering upon the creation of a new current affairs show on the BBC in June 1956. There are lots of men in suits with slicked-down hair, but there's also a strange conspiracy subplot that seems rather disconnected from the rest of the series, despite the presence of the main character in both storylines. That main character is Freddie Lyon, played wonderfully by Ben Whishaw (Layer Cake). He's really a blend of James Badge Dale with Matt Smith; he's a frizzy-haired sleuth with a sharp wit and unpredictable antics. Don't be mistaken by Dominic West's prominence in promotional material; the show's pilot really centers on Freddie, with West's character Hector Madden playing a more supporting role. There's also an ea

Which Beloved Character Won't Be Returning for Doc Martin Series 5?

Image
In a recent interview with NPR , Doc Martin star Martin Clunes dropped a surprising bombshell regarding the show's recently filmed fifth series: one beloved character won't be returning. Martin's Auntie Joan (Stephanie Cole) won't be returning to the show in series 5, he confirmed, though he promised an explanation for her absence. Departing characters are nothing new to the series. Actress Lucy Punch, who played the ferociously incompetent receptionist Elaine Denham, departed the series after the first series, and was replaced in the second series by her character's cousin, Pauline Lamb (Katherine Parkinson). Parkinson is reportedly not returning for the show's fifth series either, and will be replaced by Jessica Ransom as new receptionist Morwenna Newcross. Similarly, Stewart Wright, who played PC Mark Mylow for the first two seasons of the show, departed before the show's Christmas special and was replaced by John Marquez, who portrayed the agoraphobi

Castle Season 4 Spoilers: Does Captain Gates Have A Secret Agenda?

Image
The new Captain of the 12th Precinct has been a topic of heated debate ever since our beloved Captain Montgomery suffered a tragic death in the season 3 finale, "Knockout" back in May. After the third season of Castle ended, the most popular topics discussed among the fans were who is going to replace Captain Montgomery and whether Detective Beckett would remember Castle's desperate declaration of love after she took a bullet to the chest. About Kate remembering or not, we still don't know. I did try to get some info out of executive producer Laurie Zaks when we met in July, but she was sworn to secrecy, much to my dismay. However, news about the new Captain just keeps trickling in. We already know that Penny Johnson Jerald has joined the cast to play Captain Victoria Gates and that she will be a no-nonsense woman who will not be thrilled about Castle (a civillian) playing cops and robbers with her team of detectives. EW has caught up with Jerald recently and the

Fringe: "Where Is Peter?" New Teaser

Image
September 23rd still feels so far away, doesn't it, Fringe fans? To make these excruciating next few weeks a little more bearable (because the closer it gets, the slower time seems to go by, right?), FOX released earlier today a new teaser of the show, following the trend the other two previous promos have set. This time we have the third "Where is Peter?" clip. As we all know, the season 3 finale of Fringe was... I think mind blowing is the understatement of the century and doesn't even begin to cover it. I know I sat here staring at the screen for probably five minutes thinking what the hell had just happened. Peter went to the future (a very bleak future at that, where the other universe had been destroyed), found out he was married to Olivia, his father was in jail and Walternate was in the wind. Then Walternate goes and shoots Olivia in the head, Peter saves the day and then ceases to exist and no one seems to remember he ever existed. A lot to take in, isn

Charlie Chaplin's Granddaughter Cast in Pivotal Role for Game of Thrones Season 2

Image
Oona Chaplin, the granddaughter of iconic comedian Charlie Chaplin, has been cast in Game of Thrones season 2 as Jeyne. While Access Hollywood, who originally broke the story, didn't provide a surname for the character, we're fairly sure Chaplin will be playing Jeyne Westerling, a major character introduced in season two. What role exactly does Jeyne play? Well, look below for spoilers. Chaplin previously appeared in Quantum of Solace in a bit role as a receptionist. Game of Thrones season 2 will premiere on HBO in spring 2012. Warning! Spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 2 are below. While waging war against the Lannisters, Robb Stark (Richard Madden) is wounded by an arrow and nursed back to health from a girl named Jeyne Westerling. The two eventually fall in love, and are married. Sounds peachy, right? Well, wrong. Remember that deal that Catelyn Stark made with Walder Frey (David Bradley) that betrothed Robb to a Frey girl? Well, Walder's not going to be happ

The Vampire Diaries Season 3 Trailer

Image
We got a sneak peek of a naked Damon during a Vampire Diaries trailer that aired during Comic-Con (view it here), but now The CW has released a longer trailer (sans Naked Damon, but still awesome) with some scenes from the upcoming third season. When we last saw Mystic Falls, a lot of peoples' lives were in turmoil. Stefan had succumbed to Klaus' attempts to have him drink human blood. Now firmly off the wagon, Stefan has left town with the evil vampire/werewolf hybrid. Back in town, a newly healed Damon is moving in on a vulnerable Elena. We know from our coverage of The Vampire Diaries' press room at Comic-Con that the premiere will focus on Elena's 18th birthday and will pick up a few months after the season 2 finale. Stefan is off who knows where and Damon is clearly eager to step into his brother's place in Elena's life, but is she ready to let Stefan go? With some new characters coming in for season 3 and Stefan on a new bad boy kick, I'm sure

Leverage Renewed for Season 5

Image
TNT has given a green light to a fifth season of its caper show Leverage. The fifth season is slated to air in the summer of 2012 and will have 15 episodes. The show currently airs on Sunday nights and the summer mid-season finale will air on August 28. Leverage will then resume in November and December to wrap up the fourth season. Leverage continues to grow in the ratings. After being paired with TNT's newest hit Falling Skies this summer, Leverage's ratings increased to 4.8 million viewers, up 10% over season three. “While many shows decline in their second, third or fourth seasons, Leverage has defied the odds and continued to climb,” said Michael Wright, executive vice president and head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies (TCM). “More and more viewers are discovering this weekly joy ride through wonderfully complex schemes and con games, all brought to life through smart writing, sharp directing and a terrific cast.” Leverage is about a group

Alec Baldwin Host, Radiohead Musical Guests for Saturday Night Live Season Opener

Image
Radiohead will be the musical guests for the September 24 premiere of Saturday Night Live's thirty-seventh season, alongside host Alec Baldwin, according to USA Today. The English rock band, which in February released its eighth studio album, The King of Limbs, previously appeared on the show eleven years ago during its twenty-sixth season, appearing alongside host Kate Hudson. Being the major Radiohead fan that I am, I'm hoping to see an inclusion of the unreleased song "The Daily Mail," one of their most powerful tracks in years. (Also hoping for either "Lotus Flower" or "Separator" from The King of Limbs.) The episode will be the sixteenth time that Baldwin has hosted the show, making him the most frequent host (he previously shared the title with comedian Steve Martin). The next week's episode of the show will feature Mike & Molly actress Melissa McCarthy as the host, alongside musical guests Lady Antebellum. McCarthy recently app

Strike Back Review: 5 Things to Watch For in the Premiere

Image
HBO/Cinemax has paired up with the UK broadcaster Sky to produce its first original Cinemax series: Strike Back. The show, which premieres tonight on Cinemax and HBO Canada at 10:00 p.m., is a fast, furious and enjoyable new series that blends politics and action, with a bit of "buddy comedy" thrown in for good measure. Season 1 of Strike Back will have 10 episodes in total and will air on Friday nights. Thanks to HBO, I've seen the first two episodes of the series and I can't wait to watch the rest of the season. This show is full of great actors and an intriguing story arc, and it's not too shabby with the fight scenes. Here are five things to watch for - and enjoy - in this new show. (Update: Strike Back actually aired its first season in the UK, but has paired with Cinemax for season 2 and the show is essentially being promoted as if it is a new series for North American audiences. While the premise remains the same, the focus has shifted somewhat in i

The Good Wife Season 3 Spoilers

Image
The campaign for The Good Wife's third season has begun with a sexy promo poster (see right) and some early spoilers. With filming well underway now, more juicy spoilers are leaving the set including news on guest stars Lisa Edelstein (House) and Eddie Izzard (United States of Tara). We are also hearing that two characters will be developing a new work related relationship and another will be getting a love interest.

Big Brother 13: It's "Official." You Are So Rigged.

Image
Dear Big Brother... What the hell happened on my TV screen tonight? If you are clicking on this without watching tonight's Big Brother, then please be prepared to not get a blow by blow account of what happened after the POV ceremony from last night's episode. Instead, you will witness the rage of one Big Brother fan who has never been so upset about a television program since Buffy sacrificed herself by leaping into a portal to save her friends back in 2001. What could possibly have me that upset? I don't even know where to begin... First up, this entire week's game play on Kalia's part. Yes, I know. I applauded her for doing something bold for once by putting up two of the most powerful players in the house, but that all went to hell once Jeff read her the riot act, with Kalia flip-flopping to get back in the remaining Vets good graces. Secondly, you have Shelly acting like the Big Brother version of Glee's Sue Sylvester. Seriously, the woman is only mis

Image
Looks like more awkward situations for Lou on the next Rescue Me "344", airing Wednesday, August 17th at 10pm ET/PT on FX. A day at ground zero inspires Tommy to write letters to his loved ones. When Lou betrays his trust, Tommy returns to ground zero with an old friend.

Strike Back: Watch Sneak Peeks from the Series Premiere & Meet the Characters

Image
On Friday, August 12, Cinemax will premiere its first original series, Strike Back. Cut from the same cloth as 24, Strike Back is a fast-paced political and action series that pits members of an elite British counter-terrorism/military agency against a Pakistani terrorist named Latif and his network of spies and sympathizers. After having watched the first two episodes, we can report that we love the action and political intrigue of the show, as well as the main cast. In the premiere episode, Stonebridge recruits Scott after the death of a Section 20 agent named John Porter. The team is unable to save Porter from the elusive terrorist Latif. Section 20 approaches Scott for help as he is among a select group of people who have actually seen - and can identify - the mysterious Latif. In the course of their investigation, the group uncovers a potential attack on the Lotus Hotel in New Delhi, India, and travel there to gather intel. Unfortunately, the hotel is taken over by Latif

True Blood Renewed for Season 5

Image
The HBO show True Blood is nearing the end of its fourth year, but HBO has just given a green light to a fifth season for the show. The show has increased in ratings in its third and fourth seasons, so this renewal shouldn't come as a surprise, especially since spoilers about season 5 storylines have already been making their way around the internet. Season 5 will contain 12 episodes. The president of HBO Programming, Michael Lombardo, said “I am thrilled that True Blood continues to enjoy a phenomenal reception from both subscribers and critics. Alan Ball and his gifted team have devised the greatest thrill ride on TV.” Creator Alan Ball also expressed happiness at the news: “I remain amazed and delighted by the enthusiasm of our viewers. I can’t imagine having more fun than this.” True Blood received four nominations for the 2011 Emmy Awards, although not for major awards like Best Drama. The fourth season will come to a close in early September and a new episode will b
