FBI may be using Carrier IQ for “law enforcement purposes”

Image
The scandal involving the data and location tracking software called Carrier IQ that’s been installed on more than 140 million phones may now involve the FBI. In refusing a Freedom of Information Act request filed by Muckrock, the FBI has inadvertently revealed that it may have been using the Carrier IQ software for law enforcement purposes. The Muckrock FOIA request asked the FBI for “manuals, documents or other written guidance used to access or analyze data gathered by programs developed or deployed by Carrier IQ.” In response, the FBI denied any disclosures stating that any information it revealed could jeopardize ongoing investigations. Muckrock is seeking to appeal the FBI’s decision. Although the FBI’s statement doesn’t confirm that it has indeed been scanning the data collected by Carrier IQ in any of its law enforcement proceedings, it appears that they do have something on file that could either affect current legal cases involving the use of the data or affect the current in

Microsoft swaps out Windows Phone Chief Andy Lees

Image
Microsoft is swapping out Windows Phone Chief Andy Lees to a new role that will have him involved in a new “time-critical opportunity” involving both Windows Phone and Windows 8. Details on the shakeup were revealed by AllThingsD, which obtained an internal memo issued by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. “I have asked Andy Lees to move to a new role working for me on a time-critical opportunity focused on driving maximum impact in 2012 with Windows Phone and Windows 8,” said Ballmer in the memo. “We have tremendous potential with Windows Phone and Windows 8 and this move sets us up to really deliver against that potential.” Lees has been leading the Windows Phone group for the past three years, but the platform has been slow to pickup and still has not gained much in market share despite positive reviews of the new Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update. Next year will be critical with the release of Nokia’s first Windows Phone device. To replace Lees will be Terry Myerson, who is a corporate VP o

Diablo III opening cinematic released

Image
There’s nothing quite like a good ol’ game of Diablo to get you out of the everyday hum-drum of normal human life, and as Blizzard has proven with their eternally entertaining first two installments of this birds-eye-view hack and slash adventure game, Diablo III has a lot to live up to — today we get our first glimpse of the first three minutes of the game as it’s set to be released in 2012, cinematic one and the start of the continued hellish storyline. What you’re about to see is Deckard Cain, also known as the dirty old man whose fortune it’s been to both be the keeper of the lore of this game series and the one who’s always burning in hell while you fight the forces of evil. Cain has a niece now too, and as a meteor shower is about to prove, his ramblings about the return of the forces of hell to the earth to bring about a new terror are more than just a little bit true – great holes of flame! This isn’t the first time we’ve posted an anticipatory story about the coming of the thi

iTunes 10.5.2 update brings CD audio distortion fix and more

Image
Following complaints about audio distortion problems when playing CDs via iTunes, Apple has released an update today to fix the issue as well as bring unspecified enhancements to iTunes Match. This update to iTunes version 10.5.2 is available for download today on both Mac and Windows. The last update to iTunes 10.5.1 brought the iTunes Match feature, which lets you store your entire music collection in the iCloud, whether or not all the music was purchased through iTunes. Songs that matched those already in Apple’s libraries are streamed from 256kbps master copies, while songs that cannot be matched are uploaded for streaming. iTunes 10.5.2 brings some improvements to iTunes Match, but mainly addresses the audio distortion problem that several users have experienced while trying to play or import certain CDs. The update for Mac computers requires OS X 10.5 or above, while the Windows version of the update comes in either 32-bit or 64-bit.

AT&T, T-Mobile consider deal re-cut, Dish steps in

Image
For months now we’ve been hearing that AT&T and T-Mobile have been going back and forth with various investigatory boards, the FCC, the Department of Justice, their grandmothers, and today its come to light that AT&T is considering “recutting” its original $39 billion dollar deal for T-Mobile USA in light of U.S. antitrust authorities ever-rising opposition. The antitrust case at hand has been postponed in face of the possible recutting, and both AT&T and the Justice Department have joined in asking the judge to postpone all proceedings in the court until January 18th, 2012 — that way everyone can take a rest and drink some egg-nog while they mull everything over. T-Mobile parent Deutsche Telekom AG and AT&T have noted that they’re currently actively considering “whether and how to revise our current transaction.” This is a pretty clear sign that the deal as it existed earlier this year simply isn’t going to pan out, and though AT&T up until last week said they were

AT&T, Verizon both testing Nokia Lumia 800 with LTE

Image
According to CNET sources, both AT&T and Verizon are currently testing LTE versions of Nokia’s Lumia 800Windows Phone. The device has already launched in Europe and is expected to hit stateside in early 2012, likely making a debut at CES in January. Microsoft has been vague about when Windows Phones would support LTE. But if carriers are indeed testing the LTE variant of the Lumia 800 right now, it suggests that the first LTE Windows Phone would arrive early next year. The Lumia 800 is Nokia’s first Windows Phone device to come out of the partnership with Microsoft and a major part of its commercial success will rely on carrier support. And with carriers now all clamoring to offer 4G LTE devices, LTE support will be essential to pushing the Lumia 800 here in the states. This is consistent with sources from a previous report in November suggesting that AT&T was actively pursuing the Nokia device for its 4G LTE network, preparing a customized LTE variant of the Lumia 800 as its n

Microsoft updates OneNote app with iPad support

Image
Microsoft announced today that it is making its popular note-taking app, OneNote, available for the iPad. With this update to version 1.3, the OneNote app now features a new interface specifically designed to take advantage of the iPad’s larger screen. The update brings several improvements that extend to the iPhone version of the app as well. Some of the new features include a tabbed user interface, quick note creation in the Unfiled Notes section, table rendering, localization into several new languages and markets, improved Windows Live sign-in experience, and the option to sync notebooks only over a Wi-Fi connection. The OneNote app requires iOS 4.3 or later to work and also requires a Windows Live account to sync the notebooks with Microsoft’s SkyDrive cloud storage. The service is free up to 500 active notes with unlimited notes available for $5 on the iPhone and $15 on the iPad.

Honda Acura NSX concept teased for 2012 Detroit Auto Show

Image
The team at Honda has announced that they will reveal a new Acura NSX concept at next year’s Detroit Auto Show, this re-starting the line that was discontinued in 2005 with the original NSX. While details remain scant on the automobile, Honda did note that it would be showing the “styling direction for the next generation of Acura’s super sports car.” This showing is likely to be somewhat of a next step from 2004′s Detroit Auto Show reveal of the Acura High-Performance Sports Concept, as shown below. Again what you’re seeing above is not the new model that will be revealed in Detroit inside 2012, but the original NSX shown in 2004 at the same event. What you’ll quite likely be getting with this new model is an all-wheel-drive system, first of all, this of course if Honda decides to go beyond what CNET‘s Wayne Cunningham describes as a possible “mere styling exercise.” Speculation is that this all-wheel-drive system will be the same as what has recently been revealed for Honda’s Earth D

Hitachi GST 4TB Deskstar 5K4000 Hard Drive and Touro Desk External Drive revealed

The fine folks at Hitachi have revealed a couple of new models in their hard drive line this week, one of which is the 4TB Deskstar 5K4000 Hard Drive retail kit with CoolSpin Technology, the other being the Touro Desk external drive, both of these units available in the first quarter of 2012 at the earliest. In that your hard drive still remains the place where your do everything from watch movies to edit movies to save your everloving homework assignments, the cloud hasn’t quite completely taken over the industry for the bulk of us regular citizens. Hitachi Global Storage Technologies brings to you today two drives at right around $400 USD and a massive 4TB of space for fun. Hitachi 4TB Deskstar 5K4000 Hard Drive Retail Kit with CoolSpin Technology This first of two drives is a 3.5-inch hard drive housing a 32MB cache buffer and 33 percent more capacity than Hitachi’s last drive solution. Inside you’ll also find CoolSpin technology which allows your hard drive to run both cooler and w

Modern Warfare 3 beats Avatar for $1 Billion Record

Image
This week the folks at Activision and Blizzard are certainly more than just a little bit joyful at the news that their game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 crossed the $1 billion mark in sales earlier today, this making it the only entertainment property in the world to eclipse the previous record of $1 billion in 17 days as set by the movie Avatar in 2009. If that wasn’t enough for you, the amount of people currently in the Call of Duty community (owning and playing the game) is now approximately 30 million, this amount greater than “the combined populations of the cities of New York, London, Tokyo, Paris and Madrid.” Will they form their own country called Duty City? That is the question. The folks who hold the rights to Call of Duty are using this opportunity to call the franchise as amongst media empires like “Star Wars”, “Harry Potter”, “Lord of the Rings” and the National Football League (NFL) as whenever a new game comes out, everyone who loves the line freaks out and has a heart

Magic Carp Pet turns static rug into aquarium of printed fish

Image
What we’ve got here is a design by Clarke Hopkins Clarke which exists as two separate pieces: first, the table which is a simple slate-bars top made in black, the other the carpet which shows fish in a strange array – together they swim before your eyes. What you’re looking at is only the latest representation of one of the oldest optical illusions in the books, the slates tricking your eyes into believing that each line of the fish is a new frame in the living video you’re seeing. The same thing happens when you watch a movie, only here it’s done without moving parts. Clarke has some more artistically driven ideation in this project, such as how mythologically the carp (fish) is meant to symbolize such things as bravery and fortune, and that this carpet with its fancy “Carp Pet” title is meant to be a “humorous extraction of the carpet that reveals this intriguing little conversation piece of the floor.” On top of that, the carpet doesn’t look half bad without the table either! Might

Intel running 14nm tests says director of Northern Europe branch

Image
This week it’s become apparent that Intel is fully prepared to start in on the generation following their up until now known Ivy Bridge architecture with 22 nanometer process, that being an amazingly tiny 14nm, in the lab now! Managing Director Intel Northern Europe Pat Bliemer spoke with Nordic Hardware on how Intel is “well in phase” with current roadmaps, this appearing to show Intel as still having the crown they claimed when they were the first semiconductor manufacturer to use 32 nanometer technology for mass production. Bliemer also confirmed that Intel would be ready by the ned of first quarter 2012 to roll out its 22 nanometer process with 3D transistors, aka Tri-gate transistors. This interview took place at DreamHack Winter 2011, and Bleimer also let NHW that with the launch of Ivy Bridge, Intel would be “one and a half node” ahead of the competition. The ever-shrinking size of manufacturing on this hardware presents many challenges, as you may realize, and Bliemer is well a

Compleat disposable coffee cup axes the lid, startup set to score big

Image
Designer Peter Herman has created a concept for the all-paper disposable cup, made for coffee but perfectly viable for other liquids, that is set to blow the lid off of the industry – literally. Currently working for architectural firm Ellenzweig in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and having hacked away at this concept for over two years and a hundred prototypes now, Herman has it down to one single piece of paper. Working with graphic design firm Proverb’s Daren Bascome to create the visuals you see printed on the cups here, Herman is prepping his concept for the big time now – speaking with manufacturers and retailers right this minute. What you’ve got here is a body with two integrated flaps, all of this folded from a single piece of paper. This paper is glued to a single circular base, and the paper will be waterproofed in a similar manner to cups you see at the coffee shop on the daily already. Ideally, Herman says, he’d like to get them made of cellulose-based plastic so they could be

MacBook Air set to decimate Ultrabook market says J.P. Morgan

Image
In an investor’s note released this week by J.P. Morgan, they made it clear that they believe the Ultrabook market will continue to be dominated by Apple’s ultra-thin MacBook Air well into next year at least, saying the prices on all competitors don’t begin to post a threat to the thinnest Mac on the market. While most Ultrabooks, they note, are priced up and above $1000, with only a few sitting below that mark, the MacBook Air still has a major edge over any competitor already released or released in early 2012. At prices between $999 and $1,599 for the newest model and competing Windows-based machines not nearly as pretty or perfect, you’d better bet your lunch he’s right. Analyst Mark Moskowitz, Executive Director at J.P. Morgan, spoke on how even though the MacBook Air isn’t the cheapest laptop on the market – not by a long shot – its form factor and early launch into what the competitors have called the “Ultrabook Market” will continue to attract users of all breeds. The threat co

Faderfox DS3 sound controller for Traktor revealed

Image
If you’ve got an eye for precise control over the beats you are bringing to the table and your table is already full of a billion other controller already, you may well be looking for the new Faderfox DS3, as controlling a Traktor near you. This controller is ready to work with Traktor OR whatever else you want to reprogram it to do, switching at a tap between four different devices on the fly. This controller is both ultra compact and ultra powerful in its simplicity, triggering your loops, effects, and samples with the greatest of ease. With the Faderfox DS3, you can switch between four devices, yes, but you’ll also have four multifunctional encoders. You’ll have access to all of your FX, deck, and loop parameters via 6 group buttons, and dedicated FX assign buttons allow you to switch between 4 FX busses. You’ve got a loop recorder section with encoder and two buttons — and from here you’ve got an additional copy function to any of your sample slots. Then of course there are buttons

Verizon Galaxy Nexus set for December 15th says multiple sources

Image
This week we’ve got more sources than we know what to do with telling us that Verizon’s new release date for the Galaxy Nexus is no later than December 15th – no sooner, either, if you put it that way. This device has been one of the most hotly debated madness inciters in months as it was released in the UK several weeks before being dropped here in the USA through its first and only carrier: Verizon. This device is the first device to carry Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is Samsung / Google / Verizon’s hero phone when it’s released later this week – we hope! We’ve got several sources on this date, as I mentioned, the first being a second-party Verizon reseller situated in Texas. This is the kind of retailer that has one of those booths in the mall, if you know what I mean, so alone we wouldn’t take this for much more than a rumor. On the other hand, we’ve got another confirmation from the same fellow who’d dropped video and photos of the Verizon Galaxy Nexus earlier this month to

Sony Ericsson Xperia Nozomi (aka Arc HD) spotted in the wild

Image
This week we get our first “in the wild” look at the Sony Ericsson Arc HD, also known by its code-name Sony Ericsson Xperia Nozomi – and it’s looking pretty snappy! While the Arc HD name is not 100% set at the moment, we can see here that this phone is pretty close to production, as the tipster dropping this phone toGSM Arena doth state. Inside you’ll find Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, the front has a 4.3-inch LCD display at HD resolution – 1280 x 720 pixels, and the rumor is that this masterpiece holds a 1.5GHz dual-core Scorpion processor paired with the Adreno 220 GPU. There does not appear to be a microSD card slot, so you’ll be relying on the 16GB or 32GB of internal storage as your mainstay, and you’ll be clearing it out all the time with the gigantic camera on the back of this device: 12 megapixels with FullHD 1080p video. You’ve got a microHDMI port like many Motorola devices have had recently, 1080p streaming included, and the whole device will look rather similar to what we’ve s

Number Keypad Film for Touchpad provides the missing link for MacBook

Image
This week a rather simplistic approach for getting that all-powerful number-centric keyboard of calculations, aka the keypad, has been revealed by designers Gong Huachao and Wang Hui. What we’ve got here is a transparent film that fits over your touchpad that shows numbers and a few buttons for calculations, this working with an application that allows your computer to recognize the different taps you make on the touchpad as the numbers and symbols you’ve tapped. A better strange use for the above-average sensitivity of the touchpad on your MacBook has never been seen. This raises the question though: what better use could there be for the touchpad on your MacBook? You’ve got a masterpiece of a space down there where you fingers can direct the whole show you see on your HD display, and most people just use it to scroll up and down in their browser window and double-click on icons. With this keypad film and the connected application that goes with it, the future is here! This Pad Film f

Nintendo puts Miyamoto in Mario Kart: “Look, he’s not leaving!”

Image
You’re Nintendo: what’s the best way to convince people your iconic game designer, Shigeru Miyamoto, really isn’t stepping back from developing hit franchises and retiring? You could issue an enthusiastic press statement, certainly, but how much better to put Miyamoto into a life-sized Super Mario Kart looking gleefully excited. The Mario Karts we’ve seen before,  back in mid-November  when Nintendo commissioned West Coast Customs to come up with two electric buggies – one for Mario and one for Luigi – from the hit racing game. There doesn’t appear to be any particular reason why Nintendo has put Miyamoto behind the wheel of Mario’s kart at this particular time, beyond making sure the exec looks sufficiently enthused to bypass any retirement rumors. You can’t blame Nintendo for trying: the company’s current primary hardware line-up, the Wii and the 3DS, face strong competition from dedicated gaming rivals as well as from smartphones and tablets, with the glasses-free 3D gaming handheld

SiriusXM 2.0 adds timeshifting, track catch-up for iOS

Image
SiriusXM has released a new version of its iOS app, with v2.0 bringing the ability to jump back to the beginning of a show or song, even if you tune in partway through it. The updated internet radio app adds Start Now and TuneStart, different names for basically the same time-shifting functionality: if while channel-surfing you come across a show or a track you wish you could hear all of, new buttons allow you to flip between hearing it from the beginning or listening live. Meanwhile there’s also new timeshifting support, allowing you to pause the currently-playing radio station and then pick up listening to it later on. Fast-forward and rewind controls allow for skipping forward and backward through older shows. A maximum of 5hrs skipping is possible. Interestingly, while the timeshifting features are currently limited to the iOS app, SiriusXM is believed to be working on adding them into its in-car options. A hybrid system that will “employ WiFi, Bluetooth and internet to create exci

iLuv iSM524 is the first audio dock for Samsung Galaxy Tablets

Image
If you are rocking a Samsung Galaxy Tablet of some sort and have, a hankering for a new audio dock iLuv has a product that is just for you. The new audio dock is billed as the world’s first dock just for the Galaxy line of tablets. The dock is called the iSM524 and looks very similar to the iMM517 that was launched for the iPad back in September. The dock is intended to turn the tablet into a cinematic viewing system for streaming content. It looks a lot like an old TV to me. The official name for the dock is the ArtStation Pro, and this is the first product from the partnership between Samsung and iLuv called Designed for Samsung Mobile. The little remote sticks to the back of the dock using magnets so it’s close at hand when you need it. The docking station uses jAura acoustic tech for clean and clear sound and will support the tablet in portrait or landscape mode. It will work for the Galaxy Tab 10.1″, 8.9″, 7.7″, and second versions 7″ tablets. It also has a remote control that all

Intel slashes Q4 predictions by $1bn after HDD shortages

Image
Intel has warned of worse than expected Q4 2011 performance, cautioning investors that the ongoing hard-drive shortage could lead to quarterly revenues $1bn lower than predicted. Although sales of computers have actually risen in Q4, Intel explains, the shortfall in hard-drive stocks due to the Thailand floods earlier this year has meant manufacturers have cut their processor orders since they simply can’t produce as many PCs as they’d like. “The worldwide PC supply chain is reducing inventories and microprocessor purchases as a result of hard disk drive supply shortages” Intel concludes, with a similar dearth of drives impacting Q1 2012 as well. In fact, any turnaround isn’t expected until later in the first half of next year. Intel had previously been expecting fourth-quarter revenues to reach $14.7bn, give or take another half a billion. That predication has been scythed down to $13.7bn, plus or minus $300m, on both a GAAP and non-GAAP basis. The processor company isn’t the only one

LightSquared disrupted 75% of GPS devices in government tests

Image
We have been hearing about LightSquared for a while now, it’s a 4G wireless internet connectivity service that uses spectrum that was previously reserved for use by Satellites. The satellite owners who use that spectrum had complained that the LightSquared service would interfere with their devices and make it difficult for GPS navigation many people rely on today. According to testing that was conducted on October 31 to November 4 of this year, Lightsquared does cause significant interference with GPS devices. The study was conducted by the US government and determined that millions of GPS units in the field are not compatible with the LightSquared reports Bloomberg News. The study draft Bloomberg saw noted LightSquared signals caused interference to the majority of GPS receivers tested. LightSquared was hoped to be an answer to providing wireless internet access to rural areas. To help reduce the issues with interference LightSquared is proposing a lower power level that would only a

Google antitrust inquiry over Motorola Mobility buy frozen

Image
The European Commission antitrust inquiry into the Google acquisition of Motorola Mobility has been suspended, as the organization hunts down more evidence required before it can reach any decision. At question are “certain documents that are essential to its evaluation of the transaction” EC spokesperson Amelia Torres told Bloomberg, with the Commission’s site updated to show the investigation has been temporarily frozen. Google, though, is apparently unconcerned with the hold-up in the inquiry, describing it as “routine” for such processes. “We’re confident the commission will conclude that this acquisition is good for competition” spokesperson Al Verney said, “and we’ll be working closely and cooperatively with them as they continue their review.” Motorola Mobility’s patent cache is as tempting as the company’s device manufacturing talents to Google, the search giant has admitted previously, offering increased legal protection for the technologies in use in Android. That has increas

Microsoft admits Windows Phone NFC gaffe

Image
Microsoft has backtracked on suggestions that NFC lies dormant and unused in Windows Phone 7, admitting that the short-range wireless technology won’t actually arrive in the platform until 2012. Windows Phone support for NFC – which is most commonly used for short-range data transfers and wireless payments – was mistakenly confirmed by a Microsoft UK product manager in an interview last week; now, the company tells WinRumors that NFC is merely “coming” to models expected in the new year. “Microsoft would like to correct a previous statement it made around Near Field Communications,” the company’s spokesperson conceded. “While NFC is not currently supported on Windows 7.5, it is coming. We expect NFC-enabled Windows Phone devices to ship within the next year.” Previous suggestions had indicated that it was manufacturers, not Microsoft, that had opted not to implement NFC. Even when Windows Phones with NFC support arrive, the technology will require a marketing push if it is to become co

Apple AirPlay over BT coming, accessory makers get to work

Image
Apple is set to start cramming a new Bluetooth chip inside its devices according to a source cited by 9to5Mac. Apple unveiled the newly certified chip at a conference in Shenzen, China to 2,000 attendees that are all part of the made for iPhone/iPod/iPad program. The new chip will allow the expansion of the accessory market for the Apple gadgets. With the new chip, the Apple gear will be able to stream music over WiFi using Airplay and will be able to stream to devices using Bluetooth 4.0 as well. That would allow Airplay devices to work together when there is no WiFi network present. AirPlay already has limited support for Bluetooth as it is now using the AD2P protocol. The new Bluetooth 4.0 push hasn’t been confirmed by Apple, but considering Apple is on the Bluetooth SIG board of directors it would be easy to see this coming. The good thing about Bluetooth 4.0 is the relatively long range of 50M, and the fact that it uses little power and has low latency as well.

HP brought just 8,000 TouchPads to its fire sale

Image
HP’s “sell out” TouchPad fire sale saw less than 8,000 of the webOS tablets change hands, official figures have confirmed, arguably making the slate sale more hype than substance. According to the single 16GB eBay listing and two 32GB listings (here and here), HP sold 2,316 of the $99 16GB TouchPad refurbs, and a further 5,534 of the $149 32GB models, for a total of 7,850 units. Despite the limited numbers – which, going by when the listings were closed, were all sold in under 25 minutes – the attention was still enough to make eBay sluggish and reduce PayPal to a litany of error messages and failed transactions. HP was forced to order a second production run after strong final sales back in August outstripped supply. Unfortunately, this time around, while the TouchPad itself was something of a bargain, shipping fees were not. HP levied a flat rate of $19 – as much as a fifth of the actual TouchPad price itself – for the refurbished units, something which has earned it a thorough drubb

Nook Color gets new streaming content

Image
Barnes & Noble is doing well with the new Nook Color as the fastest selling product it offers. The company has announced a software update for the tablet that adds more than 100 different new features and enhancements to the device. The software update is free and brings the ability to stream movies and TV from services like Netflix and Flixster. The tablet is selling for $199, and if you are still shopping for Christmas you can pick one of these up online today with a new special deal. If you buy the Nook Color online using a MasterCard, you get a $25 gift card with the purchase. The new update also adds Nook book gifting. That means you can gift someone a digital book they might like to read for Christmas. That special MasterCard $25 gift card offer also works on the Nook Simple Touch for $99 and the Nook Tablet at $249 as well. All the Nook eReaders and tablets will get free shipping for buyers using MasterCard. The Nook App library has a bunch of new items too with new games, k

Apple App Store has over 500,000 apps

Image
Apple’s App Store now has over 500,000 titles for download, the company has confirmed, announcing the figure as part of its 100m Mac App Store downloads milestone news this morning. The fresh app count brings Apple on a par with Google, which claimed over 500,000 of its own apps in the Android Market back in October 2011. The rivalry between Apple and Google over apps has been a long running one, with each company competing to offer iOS and Android users respectively the most choice in their mobile download stores. However, each company takes a dramatically different approach to its store: Apple insists on a strong-arm approvals process, making developers submit their titles for review before they can be included in the App Store itself. In contrast, Google allows developers to submit their apps at will, and relies on user feedback reports, reviews and other safeguards to weed out “bad” software. The two companies remain well ahead of Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform, which has aroun
