Mob Wives: The Fight Heard 'Round the World

Image
Through its first five episodes, Mob Wives had been decidedly composed for a reality show built in the same vein as Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise. Of course, there was an occasional argument and a couple of near smackdowns, but the bulk of the show was about these four women trying to find peace within their personal lives and dealing with the consequences of their loved ones’ actions. But last night’s episode was one for the ages, as the tension that had been mounting for the past couple of episodes erupted in a free-for-all brawl in Renee’s dining room. You had Renee upset at Carla for not taking her boyfriend’s touchiness as seriously as she would have liked; you had Carla upset at Renee for not minding her business and for being melodramatic; you had Drita upset with Karen because of the latter’s comments about her husband; and you had Karen whose fault this entire thing was. I mean, think about it. Karen intentionally riled up two ladies with known tempers in Renee and Dri

Game of Thrones Promo: Episode 7 “You Win or You Die”

Image
Things are heating up on Game of Thrones after last night's episode, which brought us a big death and a big revelation. First, let's start with the Starks and the Lannisters. Ned came to a conclusion that we, as viewers, likely already suspected: that Cersei's children could very well be the product of incest with her brother, Jamie Lannister. Now that Ned is in possession of this information, he decides to confront Cersei about her secrets, which he feels led to the death of Jon Arryn. Robert, recently injured, tries to ensure that there is an orderly transition of power at King's Landing, but those around Ned seemed determined to push forward with his power as King's Hand, even if it leads to treason. But the Lannisters are not to take recent matters - including the capture of Tyrion by Cat Stark - lying down. The Lannister patriarch, Tywin (played by Charles Dance), tells Jamie that this is his time to "be the man you were meant to be" and gives hi

Castle: Season 3 In Review

Image
It has been a week since the quite explosive season 3 finale of Castle and tonight will be the first Monday night without our favorite show for the next four months. I know, I am depressed too. I don’t know about you guys, but I have still not recovered from the avalanche of information (and feelings) that poured out of my screen last week and I am willing to bet that most of you feel the same way. So now that the season is over, it is a great opportunity to look back and see what worked, what didn’t, what we wished had happened and what we can look forward to in season 4.

Tonight on Dancing with the Stars Season 12: Finale Performance Show

Image
And the final quest for the Dancing with the Stars Season 12 Mirror Ball trophy is on! The top 3 contenders take to the floor tonight to compete in their next to last performance round. The Season Finale week will be made up of 3 dance performances, split over the two night event, with a slew of musical guest performances and the much anticipated “Design a Dance.” Tonight's performances include a “judges choice” dance, where for each couple the judges have selected a dance they feel are the couple’s strong suit. Next will be the popular “freestyle” dance, and this is where the competition really heats up. The contestants really have to shine on their own in the freestyle, where they will not have the benefit of being 'in hold' by their pro partners. On Tuesday's Season Finale, the couples perform their personal favorite dance, which will also be scored by the judges. And here’s where the conspiracy theory may take hold once again. Fans will be able to vote only fo

BAFTA Awards 2011: The Winners and Losers

Image
Last night the 2011 BAFTA's were held in London and featured a mix of surprise winners and those who had been predicted to take the big awards. So who were the big winners and losers of the night? Sherlock, Any Human Heart and Misfits were all nominated in several of the drama categories and all three shows took home at least one prize, but there wasn't one programme that clearly dominated as can often be the way at these events. It looked like Sherlock might sweep their three award nominations as they picked up Best Drama Series quickly followed by Best Supporting Actor for Martin Freeman who plays Watson in the hit BBC show and is currently taking a break from the much anticipated The Hobbit to film the second series of the crime solving drama. Denying their clean sweep on the birthday of Sherlock Holmes author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in the category for Best Actor beating out Benedict Cumberbatch was one of the surprises of the evening, Daniel Rigby who portrayed the much
