Premiere Of “Survivor: Nicaragua” Wins Its New Time Period, “Big Brother” Finale Up Versus Last Year

The Apprentice is the only season premiere on broadcast television tonight. It’s the “old school” version, with no celebrities other than “The Donald”. How will it do in the ratings? LAST YEAR Last season on Sunday, CBS’ Undercover Boss sent Celebrity Apprentice to the mail room, consistently battering it. Without Boss competition, the Apprentice finale in May scored a 3.4 adults 18-49 rating. But that may have little predictive value for this season. THIS YEAR So many variables make any guess a wild one. The Apprentice has a weak lead in ( Office repeat), but its only new broadcast competition is Nikita (for an hour). I closed my eyes, threw a dart, and it landed on 7. So, I’ll go with a 2.7 adults 18-49 rating. How do you think The Apprentice will do in the ratings?

TV Ratings Wednesday: Survivor, America’s Got Talent Rise; ‘Outlaw’ Starts Slowly

CBS’ Big Brother finale also finished up. Its 2.8 adults 18-49 rating was up 7% from last week, and up 4% from last season’s finale (9/15/09) NBC’s Outlaw started slowly, with just a 2.4 adults 18-49 rating. For comparison, that’s up only 4% from the debut of Mercy (cancelled), and +9% from the debut of Trauma (cancelled) last season. NBC’s America’s Got Talent ended on a high note, its 3.7 adults 18-49 rating was up 6% vs. it’s finale (part 2) last year. It was the highest rated AGT finale in 3 years. Fox’s MasterChef finale drew just a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating, falling a big 26% from last week’s 2.7 rating. On the CW, America’s Next Top Model: rose 5% in
