iPad 2 G-Form Extreme Portfolio Case 60-Foot Drop [VIDEO]

Image
It’s always a joy to speak about electronics and gadgets, especially when they’re such high quality, awesome products like the iPad. Then again, it’s also fun to see these devices getting utterly massacred at the hands of those that aim to protect them! Thusly we’re sort of in love with the folks at G-Form who today are dropping some iPads from 60 feed up in the sky. They’ve got their own case surrounding an iPad 2 and their competitor’s case surrounding a different iPad. Can you guess which one survives? This isn’t the first extreme video G-Form has offered the world in order to gain some viral attention, and we’re pretty sure it’s not he last. If you’re in to the idea of keeping your iPad safe from basically any kind of punishment, especially dropping it off a tower, G-Form’s Extreme Portfolio Case appears very much to be the solution for you. This case uses a portfolio-style case employing Reactive Protection Technology or RPT to keep your device safe. Reinforced with polycarbonate

Virgin Mobile $35/$55 Unlimited Data Plan Announced

Image
So you’ve got a smartphone, yes? Perhaps you’ve got a hankering to lower your $70 a month plan to something like HALF of that? Or maybe you’re part of a network that’s got limited data, where you’re not allowed to use more than a certain amount of data per month, charging you for overages and whatnot? Well what do you know, it’s Virgin Mobile to the rescue! Virgin Mobile is today announcing their new data, voice, and text plans, all of them right along the lines of $55 and under. That’s pretty darn cheap when you consider the massive amounts of cash you’re laying down per month with some other bigger carriers. But is it worth it? Will you be able to find a phone on Virgin that you like as much as say… that cool new T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide? I don’t know man, we’ll just have to see! Here’s the prices Virgin is sending out today: with a new Virgin Mobile plan, you’ll be lowering your monthly price of unlimited data, voice, and text to $55. If you don’t give a hoot about voice OR don’t u

Pretty Little Liars Promo & Photos: Episode 2.06 "Never Letting Go"

Image
Well, well, well.  Things are getting very interesting on  Pretty Little Liars.   This week's episode exposed a few revelations concerning both Ian and Alison's deaths.  As it turns out, Ian was actually dead for a week before Melissa and the girls found him.  So does that mean that "A" was the one sending Melissa the text messages from "Ian"?  Melissa seems to think it was Spencer, though, and another wedge has been driven between the sisters. Meanwhile, the girls were lured to the cemetery and saw the real ending of the video with Alison and Ian.  After Ian seemed to strike Alison off-camera, it turns out that Alison wasn't really dead.  In this extended video, Alison laughed and got up, then thanked Ian for meeting with her in the forest.  If Ian didn't kill Alison, who did?  Was Jason involved, as he confessed to Aria (since he can't remember after blacking out that night)?  Or is it someone else?  And why did Jenna and Garrett hire Log

Pretty Little Liars Spoilers: Will 'A' Expose Emily's Lies? Plus, Wren Sticks Around

Image
Ian is dead, but Emily, Hanna, Aria and Spencer still have a lot of problems, and a lot of secrets.  Thanks to ABC Family, we have some spoilers for the upcoming August 2 episode of  Pretty Little Liars. In the episode, Emily's juggling of secrets finally catches up to her.  After trying to keep all of her recent lies straight, she's shocked when her father returns to Rosewood for a big swim meet.  She collapses and lands herself in the hospital.  Emily understandably wants to come clean to her father, but 'A' might beat her to the punch.  According to the network "'A' reveals his/her part in Emily's swim career."  Eep!  Will this mean Emily has to move to Texas when the truth comes out? The recent reappearance of  Wren on Pretty Little Liars  was not a one-off.  Wren will also be appearing in this episode while Emily is in the hospital.  And from the looks of the photo below, he'll be interacting with Spencer.  With Wren reappearing in

Rescue Me: First Three Episode Descriptions + All Final Season Episode Titles

Hide the whiskey and check your helmet because Tommy Gavin and crew are about to hit the scene for one last go-around in their truck. As hard as it is to believe, Ladder 62 will be hanging it up at the end of the season after a successful, (arguably) groundbreaking run on FX. When last we left the boys, Damien may (or may not) actually be able to talk, Janet's pregnant with another Gavin spawn (who will be born with a 30 day chip from AA in its fingers), and Sheila/Tommy looks to be  done ...for real this time. Maybe? But don't get too sad because even though we have to say goodbye to Franco's smile, Lou's cooking, and the greatness of  Apache Stone , we have nine episodes worth of  Rescue Me -brand craziness to look forward to over the rest of the summer and plus, we'll be getting a conclusive final episode. Before we start looking ahead to what exactly the show could pull off to make for a great series finale, let's check out what's supposed to happe

Emmy Training Video: Joel McHale Schools Melissa McCarthy

Image
Last year,  Community  star Joel McHale was one of the announcers of the 2010 Emmy nominations.  This year, he generally agreed to give the 2011 co-announcer Melissa McCarthy ( Mike & Molly  and Bridesmaids ) tips on how to be the best darn Emmy announcer she can be. By "tips" I of course mean putting Melissa through a grueling training regimen that involves catching a chicken, becoming desensitized to the cuteness of puppies, and getting punched in the face. In other words, Joel McHale and Melissa McCarthy bring on the hilarity. Melissa will be joined by  Fringe's  Joshua Jackson on the morning of July 14 as the two announce the nominees for the 2011 Emmy Awards.  You can watch the amusing training video below.

Warner Bros. Bags at Comic-Con: Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, Fringe, Big Bang Theory & More!

Image
I don't know if you're familiar with the huge swag bags that Warner Bros. sponsors at Comic-Con.  Last year they were actually rather cumbersome to carry around (especially if you're less than 6 feet tall), so I'm happy to report that the studio has created bags this year that can convert into backpacks.  You will appreciate this fact when you're not dragging that bag behind you (the bag's poster tube will remain intact). This year, the bags feature promotional shots from several Warner Bros. television shows, as well as titles from Warner Bros. Animation, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment.  The full list of shows and games on the bags include:

Orientation: A Nerd Newbie Guide to #SDCC

Next week will be my fourth annual trip to San Diego Comic-Con (the first as a fan, the next 3 as press). I have made every conceivable mistake along the way, and wanted to pass on a few suggestions for rookies and newbies alike. Admittedly, these tips are geared more toward film & TV fans that are attending panels than they are for actual comic book fans with different agendas. Here are a few suggestions to avoid boredom, dehydration and overall frustration at the Con. THE CONSTANT Buddy up! Always have at least one friend or new acquaintance to save your place in line or guard your chair with their life. Because you will need to use the restroom and grab food/water. In the larger rooms, you will be given a color-coded pass if you need to leave during or between panels. Even though you have already secured a seat, and even if your backpack is on said seat, you will want a trusted source next you to in order to reinforce that it is indeed taken. A Dance With Dragons: The New Game of Thrones Book Gets a Welcome Reception

Image
It's taken many years for George R.R. Martin to finally release the fifth installment in his  A Song of Fire and Ice  series, which is currently the source material for the hit HBO show  Game of Thrones , but everyone is saying its worth the wait. A Dance with Dragons  went on sale today and a lot of the reviews around the internet are very complimentary.  Many of them say that fans who were disappointed with the fourth book will have their faith redeemed with  A Dance With Dragons . Here's a sampling of quotes, with links to the full reviews (those of you who have not read the books and only watched the show will find some spoilers from future plotlines in the full reviews, but we've taken care not to include them below):

Tonight on White Collar: 3.06 "Scott Free"

Image
One of  White Collar's  central themes is the dilemma that Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) constantly faces; should he be the con man he believes he naturally is, or should he take the moral path and invest in his agreed role with the FBI helping them catch criminals like him? This has been further emphasised this season by the cache of treasure that Neal and Mozzie (Willie Garson) are now in possession of, leading to a daily deception of Peter (Tim DeKay). Tonight's episode adds to this problem as Neal has to decide whether he should help track down a young con man who is wreaking havoc, or whether he should assist this man in escaping the watchful eye of the authorities. It looks like the  White Collar  team will be comparing this new kid on the block to Neal, will he become jealous of the life his young counterpart is living? Will this cloud Neal's judgement in regards to the case and his life choices? There is also the discussion about making changes and how hitting r

Teen Wolf: The Breakfast Club Experience From Hell

Image
Holy. Hell. Last night's  Teen Wolf  was nothing but a straight up carnival ride that didn't give you the opportunity to frequently catch your breath. A sharp turn from a standard episode, "Night School" pit the teenagers of  Teen Wolf  in some serious danger as the Alpha made his next move to get Scott to join him in terrorizing the town of Beacon Hills. Despite all of the kids being "okay" in the end, there was still one casualty that went through my heart like a silver bullet. The episode started where we left off with Scott and Stiles hiding inside the school from the Alpha, trying to figure out their next move. Meanwhile, Allison got a text from Scott to meet her at the school, because it was urgent. However, Scott doesn't own a phone anymore, remember? Despite knowing this, Allison still headed to the school with Lydia and a seriously crushing Jackson in tow. With the gang all there, the Alpha chased the teens around the school until he final
